We stayed in Rome for 5 nights. We wanted a hotel nearby the old center of Rome. We stayed in room 84 on the front side of the hotel on the fifth floor.
We had a spacious room with 4 beds, a big bathroom and a fantastic airco (>38 °C outside). We had a little terrace (for which it was too hot to use).
Breakfast was more than OK.
Service was very good.
Housekeeping was more than OK.
Roof terrace view is worth a million !!!
Some minor points :
On Saturday the hotel seemed completely full and the available staff (we called him "Antonio" :-)) could not manage the pressure. The other waitress (who was back on Sunday) could do it easely.
The same day housekeeping forgot to clean our room. Reception called someone to do it in the evening ... an Italian man came up with clean sheets and towels but did not know where to start (Italian men probably are not allowed to do something in the household :-)).
When I requested a Espresso in the evening they told me that the bar was not available in the summer season ... a pitty ... we could have enjoyed the coffee on the roof.
As you are not allowed to drive in the city during the day we parked our car in the ParkSi parking at the Villa Borghese. The last nigth we left it on the street ... Rome is a very safe city.
We've peeked in other rooms and they looked less spacious and had a terrible view. So if you stay ... ask for a room on the sixth floor or a room on the front side of the building on the fifth floor. The corner rooms (eg. 84) are the largest.
Our room and our stay are absolutely worth 3 or 4 stars.
The view from the roof terrace upgrades it to at least "****".
We reccommend this hotel !
