“Great location!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2014

We stayed 5 days and this hotel was in a perfect location for our first trip to Rome. Easy walking distance to the major tourist locations. Plenty of places to eat in every direction, which was good because the hotel restaurant was very pricey. The staff was very helpful and friendly and gave us good alternative suggestions for eating. The breakfast room and food was outstanding as was the service. Very relaxing setting with large windows on the upper floor. The rooms are very well furnished and classic. Only negative was their bar. We went up a couple of nights for a drink only to be seated in the entry way each time because there were no tables. We didn't stay. A hotel like this should have more capacity or at least give hotel guests a preference. In the end, it's a very nice place, but I'm not sure it was worth the price.

Stayed for three nights. Lovely room with small balcony overlooking the park. Hotel decor elaborate and grand. Staff extremely helpful . Breakfast excellent with a good choice. Breakfast room very pleasant. No real negatives however be mindful that there is no iron available. If you need to iron clothes you have to send to the housekeeper for which there is a charge. The hair dryer is of the type attached to the wall in the bathroom and the wardrobe space, whilst more than sufficient, did not allow for any full dress drop. Would however recommend and would love to return.

Stayed for three nights in August. Met with a warm friendly greeting and shown into room. Not sure we needed two televisions. No tea or coffee facility but a bottle of water was left on each side of the bed, also a bottle of mediocre red wine.very dark rooms and over efficient air conditioning. Breakfast was good. After a day walking round Rome it would have been nice to have a drink at the bar. Sadly the bar is in the restaurant and has only four chairs, we felt very uncomfortable, it didn't seem like any hotel bar we have seen.

Great location, excellent staff and overall gorgeous Hotel. Walk to so many gifts of Rome. U.S Embassy is a couple blocks away. We found a excellent local Resturant called San Marcos that the staff directed us to.

Room Tip: Try for a room overlooking the park. Amazing

Romance, business, tourism, it does not matter the reason to visit Rome, but if you have a chance and if you want a great location, in down town, five minutes by walk to Spanish Steps and if you want a luxury hotel, but very quiet and confortable, with a special restaurant with a wonderful view and also close to Villa Borghese, Splendide Royal is the solution. Also I suggest the breakfast, really complete.

Room Tip: All the rooms are quite spacious, but upper rooms are better for the view. If you can choose a suite...

We stayed at Splendide Royal for 2 nights. While we found most 5* hotels in Rome in August are overpriced, this place charged fair.

The location is not right in the center but a very close drive by taxi to all major attractions in Rome. Situated in a fairly small street overlooking a beautiful park.

The rooms are clean and spacious. The service was excellent. Perhaps the best feature of this hotel is it's Michelin starred restaurant. It has beautiful patio with a great view of the Vatican.

Breakfast was just ok like all hotels in Italy. WiFi is not included and expensive. You have a choice between a very slow 8 euro/24 hours or fast 17 euro/24 hours. There's a computer downstairs with free access to internet but it's very slow.

Overall we were happy with Splendide Royal and would definitely come back.

Room Tip: If you're walking into Speldide Royal to see the room before booking. Chances are you won't...

Excellent hotel with a beautiful spacious decorated room. Great quiet location facing Vila Burgeze. 1st level breakfast and service. Free Internet workstations at the lobby. The reception personal were very polite and helpful.

Room Tip: Excellent deal via Booking - Luxury room for reasonable price.
