The location is excellent for sightseeing, and it is right by Villa Borghese which means you can go for long runs, and a nice stroll through the park. I ended up having a light breakfast in the park every morning.
It is probably nicest to stay in the newly renovated rooms upstairs since the view will be nicer but for a slightly lower cost, the lower rooms are not so bad. It is a bit small, yes but ours came with a small balcony which we loved. The corners of the curtains are frayed, the sheets the first night had a hole in it but I did not mind so much (surprisingly). You likely won't be spending too much time in the lobby which is good because it is a very very strange decor. Head to the bar upstairs which has a beautiful view of the city.
The staff is very helpful given that the front desk is essentially a 2 man team! They were very helpful in making dinner reservations for us and recommending other restaurants. My only slightly complain is that we constantly had to follow up with the staff to check to see if the reservations had actually been made. In any other hotel, I would expect to be told and not have to confirm.
