The hotel is in an excellent position, close to Lepanto Metro and bus routes, but is also within walking distance to the Vatican and historic centre of Rome. There are many good restaurants nearby (booking recommended in high season). The hotel provides an excellent breakfast buffet, with plenty of choice to suit most tastes and the dining room was specially opened for us one day at 06.45, as we had to leave early on a tour of the Vatican. Our 'superior'-classified room was very well appointed with comfortable beds, a well-equipped bathroom and spotlessly clean. From the terrace on 5th floor, there is a fantastic view to be had over Rome and St Peter's Basilica. We will definitely return for another visit and stay here.

Top notch service is what we received during our stay at Hotel Giulio Cesare. As our stay was focused on relaxing and visiting the St. Peter's this was a perfect location. It is a bit of a walk to historic center but not terrible. I'm struck by how the shopping in the neighborhood has changed (for the better) in the last 8 years - it's an interesting section of the city. The rooms at the hotel are extremely clean and the food is quite good. The breakfast service is top notch. There is a lovely garden out back. Staff was terrific.

After searching through so many options in Rome, we are so glad that we chose this wonderful hotel in the Prati district! Hello to everyone there, especially Manuel and Giovanni! Couldn't have asked for a more delightful stay in Rome and a peaceful place to come to at the end of our site seeing. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious and having the Metro stop two blocks away was perfect. Perfect for folks who do not want to "stay" in the hustle bustle of the tourist district, as the area is residential and quiet at night, though "the" best restaurant in Rome is not far away - Perilli in Prati. Thanks again to Hotel Giulio Cesare for such a wonderful start to our Italian honeymoon, we are recommending to all of our friends and will be back.

For the most part, we were very happy with our stay at this hotel. We were upgraded from the older part of the hotel to the newer to start. The staff was very knowledgeable. Breakfast was awesome. The downsides were that you have to pay for internet, the A/C didn't work, and the location, while on a very quiet road, was a least a 5-10 minute walk to the nearest Metro.
