The good - Very clean, huge bathroom, comfortable bed, beautiful common areas including breakfast room and rooftop bar. Helpful and friendly staff. Very good breakfast.

The fair - Not the greatest location from which to visit other sites. Actual shower/tub was oddly configured. Airport shuttle service a bit of a ripoff. A little on the pricey side.

Overall, solid but not spectacular hotel. I would stay here again, but then again I might also look for something a little closer to the major attractions.

We were looking for something reasonably priced since we needed two rooms, Breakfast was fine. The hotel is about 12 minute walk from the Spanish Steps. For the other sites, you need to cab it. We didn't mind the walk. Very reasonable price if you book in advance. Clean rooms and hotel staff is very helpful. Our room was small, but the three teenagers had plenty of room.

Traditional hotel close to Borghese Park, across the street from the Hadrian Walls made for a great base for our family of four. Room was spacious and tidy, fold out beds comfortable and linens were crisp and clean. Bathroom was huge, very clean, double sinks and nice shower.

PROS: Large family room accomodated our 11 and 12 year olds nicely. Clean, comfortable and spacious. Nice location with many local small restaurants serving excellent food in casual setting. Try the Pomodorino around the corner, perfect after a long day of travel. The Continental Breakfast is excellent, including eggs, breads, cold cuts, cheeses, fruits, juices and coffee/tea served in traditional dining area with tablecloths and comfortable seating. In a nice location, surrounded by other hotels, nice restaurants and residential buildings. Convenient to auto rental offices too. Free internet access wired into room, high speed.

CONS: If you're expecting a Westin or "W" experience you will be disappointed. But if you have the proper expectations, it is very good. This is a classic hotel in a residential section of Rome, but not fancy or posh. It is comfortable, clean, traditional and a great value. Quiet at night and surrounded by nice restaurants.

We would stay again!

This hotel came with good reviews, and we were not disappointed. The hotel sitting in the middle of one of the nicest area's of Rome. It is a short walk to the spanish steps and this is where you will find the designer shops.
Rome is a fantastic city filled with a diverse range of bars and restaurants. If you want to stay in a typical italian hotel, quaint if a little tired, this all adds to the charm.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was adequate and nicely served. The room was clean and spacious. And larger than expected.
After all in Rome you will not want to spend much time here anyway. There is too much to see. I am definately going back there, for the money its well worth it.

I found Hotel Victoria through internet research and comments made on TripAdvisor by other travelers and I have to say the hotel lived up to its reputation. Great location, facing the Borghese Gardens, great staff, excellent services, spacious rooms with all amenities, beautiful bathrooms, impeccable hygiene and very warm decor. Rome is one of my favorite cities in the world and this hotel made the experience even more enjoyable. I will definitely come back and would recommend the hotel to anyone who is traveling to rome and is looking for a reasonably priced 4 star hotel.
