I booked this hotel because of the positive reviews on TripAdvisor. My experience did not have any of the positive points discussed. We had mold on our shower curtain, mold on the bathroom tiles, and rickety lamps with non-working bulbs. Our view was of a wall on the building next door (even though I had specifically requested that we not face a wall). The beds and pillows were so uncomfortable that even my 8 year old was complaining. The breakfast buffet was very disappointing - the same drab cold cuts and watery eggs each morning. I had asked the concierge to help with a reservation - she said she would look into it, and I never heard back from her. There is internet access via ethernet cable, but no WIFI. OK, to be fair, here is the good stuff - the location was very nice (close to Via Veneto), there was one very charming and affable staff member who really did try, and the cappuccinos at breakfast were delicious.

We had a couple of issues with this hotel, and we definitely did not get our money's worth. We stayed here for three nights and paid about $530 for all 3 nights. This hotel is categorized as a 4-star in expedia, but it does not come close! We thought the hotel had been remodeled, that may have been a long time ago - the carpets are quite dirty (first sign of no recent renovation) the comforter looked as it had never been washed, and as a matter of fact the cleaning crew removed it after our first night... The bathroom was very spacious, and fairly clean but the tub/shower has clear panels instead of curtains, and these do not close all the way through - we found this quite funny actually. The interesting part about this hotel is that its advertised as a top hotel chain across Europe but it did not feel that way at all.
Location wise - its a bit removed from the main attractions, we managed to walk to most of them - a lot of walking, but we would definitely stay at a hotel closer to the center next time. This hotel should be priced at no more than $75 - $100 per night with its current condition.

I was a little hesitant after reading a couple of the previous reviews. I had NOTHING to worry about. We had a wonderful stay. The location was excellent. We were less than one minute's walk from Via Veneto (a street filled with shops, restaurants, etc.) and about a five minute's walk from the train station. We took the train almost everywhere. From the airport, I'd recommend taking a shuttle or the Leonardo Express then a taxi (it's a little hard to navigate from the nearest train station with luggage). The Leo Express is about 15 Euro, and a taxi should be about 6 Euro. Don't let the unlicensed taxis get to you!

The hotel is very nice. Courteous staff -helpful, considerate and speak English very well. Internet access was provided via keyboard in the room hooked up to a TV (7 Euros for 24 hours), or you could use the computer downstairs for 5 Euros. Didn't check out the restaurant since there were way too many to choose from in the area.

The train will take you wherever you want to go if you don't want to walk. We felt this was a perfect location - we felt very safe, yet still in the middle of the action on Via Veneto. Rooms are small (expect this anywhere in Europe), but we didn't feel they were uncomfortable. Bring washcloths. They don't provide them. Again, great service. I'm used to staying in "nice" hotels (i.e. 5 star), and although it didn't provide the ammenities a 5 star hotel does (spa, etc.) I didn't have any complaints. After all, we were there to see Rome - not the inside of the hotel. If I return to Rome, I'd definitely stay here again. I'd recommend it to anyone.

There is a bar (i think others have mentioned this) literally around the corner with some of the best espresso (cafe) we had anywhere in Rome. It just says "bar". Leaving the hotel, turn left and immediately turn left on the first street. Then turn right at the first street and you'll see it.

Arrived with my wife for a week and had a great time. The location is very good. a 5 minutes walk from the busy center so it's quite but not remote. 50m from the lovely via Veneto, and in fron of ancient wall of Rome. The staff very friendly and most of them speak English. The room was quite small but clean and has everything you need. Didn't spent much time there. The breakfast is very rich and nice and is a great start for a day of dicovering this great city.

My room was clean and comfortable with crisp bed linen. In many ways the hotel is similar in standard to the nearby Westin Excelsior, where I have stayed before, but at a much lower price. The hotel staff were very friendly, helpful and made me feel genuinely welcome. The hotel is conveniently situated close to the Villa Borghese and Via Veneto. and the Spanish Steps are 10-15 minutes walk away. There are restaurants, shops and bars nearby. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at this hotel and would stay again.
