We really enjoyed our stay in the Savoy. It's in a great location. The room was clean & spacious & quiet too. The beds were big. The breakfast was great in the morning, lots of choice. One of the nicer European hotels we've stayed in.

I would recommend The Savoy hotel if you are visiting Rome. It is an excellent location just off Via Veneto and about a 10 minute walk to the Spanish Steps. The Rome City Tour buses stop just outside the hotel, which is so handy if you intend doing a bus tour when you are there. The bedrooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, bathroom is very nice and the shower was great! Breakfast is very good, great variety. Hotel staff were very helpful and pleasant. We just had one drink up on the terrace bar ( €7 for glass of wine). There are lots of cafes/bars and great places to eat near by. We got a very good deal for b and b as we were staying there in March. Overall, a perfect hotel for a city break in the beautiful city of Rome!

I'm confused as to why this hotel is getting such hit-or-miss ratings because i thought that this was one of the finest hotels that I've been in. Although my interaction with the staff was limited considering I have a great deal of knowledge about the area, I must say that the hotel exceeded expectations.

Firstly, the bed...oh my god the bed was amazing. It was so hard to get up in the morning because of how soft everything was. On multiple occasions I got up later than anticipated because I just could not get myself up from that bed.

Secondly, the location was fantastic. A 15 minute walk takes you to everything in the heart of Rome...the Colosseum, the Ruins, etc.

The breakfast was also a nice touch.

Although they charged a great deal for internet, there's an internet cafe 5 minutes away that was super cheap.

Finding decent accomodation in Rome without breaking the bank is always a bit of a nightmare. The Savoy Hotel has a fantastic location and in my opinion is worth the money you pay to stay there when you compare it to other Rome hotels. It's true that the rooms are a bit tired and could do with being refurbished, the walls are a bit thin and you can hear noises from the other rooms but on the whole I would certainly go back to this hotel again especially after comparing it to other Rome hotels.
