The hotel is near the Termini station, but to the back side, to the front side where all the buses get connected is more or less 15 minutes walking, the rooms are clean, but the entrance to the hotel as the elevator are chocking very bad. The breakfast very bad too, and in general is an extremely old building. But is clean, and if you want to save it is O.k., but I wouldn't stay there again, I prefer to pay 10 or 20 Euros more and to feel more comfortable.

hotel aquarium was decent considering the expensive rates offered by other hotels in Rome for late May/Early June. I found it inconvenient to have to ring a bell to get through the door, which leads to a tiny lift, up to the second floor where the hotel starts. The room was on the smaller side, but was definitely clean and stayable. My room was supposed to have a/c but didn't so they ended up bringing us a fan and discounting the room rate. That was fine by us as we were fortunately in Rome when it was not too hot. The hotel is about two blocks away from the train station which was VERY convenient. It was also walking distance to get over to Nazionale street, which from there you could probably find a metro or bus anywhere. Rome is huge, so as long as we were close to a metro and the train station, it was good for us.

p.s. if you are paying when you get there... they will try to ask you to pay in cash... if that is the case, and you have the funds... negotiate a discount!

Very conveniently located. Literally 1 minute walk from trains, metro and buses. Generally very friendly and helpful staff. Clean enough although shower not so good. Don't count on the breakfast though because it's hopeless. My partner and i both reckon it's very good value for a city centre location and having thrown our coins into the Trevi Fountain, will certainly stay there again when we go back to Rome.

Far from a pretty hotel but no big problems should be noted. If you just want to sleep and get a shower this can be the place. Expect no good decoration or charm. The hotel does not have a lobby at the floor level - it is a regular entrance of an habitation building. Breakfast? Only the cappucino saves it... plastic bag toasts and croissants. But the price is fair for good location with lots of transportation nearby.

Very good location - close to the train station. The staff was friendly, but many could not speak English. There were 3 of us and the first room we had was pretty small, but adequate. On our return from Venice a few days later we had a much larger room. I would definitely recommend the Aquarium - the price was terrific - 89.00 Euros per night. If you don't mind walking you could easily get to many of the major attractions in Rome on foot; if not the main bus terminal is a few steps away. There is a direct bus to the Vatican that we found very convenient. Although we had read that this area was unsafe we had no problems at all. The only negative I would say about the hotel was the complimentary breakfast - tasteless croissants and melba toast.
