Excellent location, had colosseum view from the room I stayed. but as a four star the room is too small and the carpet wasn't clean. Also, the continental breakfast costs 15 Euro which is a bit too expensive. Italian breakfast is 6 Euro but doesn't worth it. No free internet access, need to use Vodafone wifi, again it's quite expensive.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 days, we arrived to a full reception and total chaos, when we eventually were served we had to wait an hour. When we did get to our rooms I could not belive the state of it, we had a so called balcony which was absolutely filthy ( you cannot get out onto it as its locked). The carpet was stained, the bathroom was ok. You really need good air conditioning when staying in Rome during the hot periods but the air condtioning was sub standard and barely cooled it down. The best thing about this hotel is the pool and the views from the top of the roof. The rooftop bar is staffed intermittently and not at all on a Sunday. The breakast costs 15 euros and its the normal continental breakfast (in my opinion not worth it).

I definitely would not recommend this hotel to anyone, there are far more suerior hotels nearer the sights.

we stayed for 4 nights which was an ideal length of stay. we had a triple room which was very spacious and bathroom was a good size (room 513). we had a shared balcony overlooking road which we only used to dry our clothes. the air conditioning was a necesity with it being extremely hot outside. the staff at reception spoke very good english and were very helpful. the rooftop bar was manned from 11am to 11pm, the drinks were quite expensive and the food was frozen food. however there was plenty of seating. the rooftop pool was the factor we chose this hotel and it was never too busy and not too cold. the view from the roof was amazing and it was only a short walk into city centre.
the only really bad point is the breakfast, we had it on the first day and it was horrible!!!! it is not worth 5euros let alone 15! advice = use supermarket - less than 5 minutes walk away where you can buy ready made rolls and also cheap alcohol!
get a taxi to the vatican cos its not much rather than walking! i advise a tour because you get loads more info and access to extra areas. definately buy your ticket from the palentine rather than queueing at the colosseum. definately visit the trevi fountain in both day and nightime.
great trip and would definately use this hotel if i ever visit rome again!

The swimming pool and roof terrace is the hotel's one redeeming feature.
We booked a superior room, which did have a view of the colloseum from the balcony, but we shared the balcony with another room, so couldn't even really enjoy it. The room itself was tiny, the furnishings outdated, the carpet and walls worn and tired.
The bathroom was also minute, and the state of the bath! I wouldn't even set foot in it - I washed at the handbasin!
The location wasn't bad - within walking distance of most attractions and literally down the road from the colloseum. A taxi to the Vatican was only 7 euro, so that wasn't too bad.
The service on the front desk was okay (there was one man who was very helpful and pleasant), but otherwise the service was incredibly slow (which I found elsewhere in Rome as well), especially at the bar.
All in all, very disappointing.

Hats off to this hotel. 4 Minutes walk to the Collosseum, very clean, helpful staff. The pool is georgeous and the rooftop patio is also very nice as it overlooks the Collosseum. The room was clean and very well presented. There was air conditioning, tv, patio, bar, etc. Would reccommend this hotel to anyone and will stay there again next time we visit rome.
