We booked this hotel at only $100 a night through hotwire. When we told the manager that it was our 10th wedding anniversary, he upgraded our room. Our room was spacious and we had a stunning view over the pool and into the ruins. It was quiet and the staff was friendly and attentive. The bathroom was very nice and we had a large and comfortable bed. Other reviewers have complained about faded carpeting or peeling wall paper. There is just a tiny bit of that but I never would have noticed it if I hadn't read about it first. It is just normal wear and tear for your typical european hotel.

The hotel boasts an American-style breakfast which they intend to compare against your standard European continental. This means you get the usual pastries and cold cuts plus a few hot items like mass produced scrambled eggs and little sausages. Not excellent but a perfectly fine way to start the day. Coffee was made to order and was excellent, and there is fresh squeezed orange juice.

The hotel lobby could use some updating, and there is this wonderful sort of unintentionally kitsch bar where a one-man show is performed by a lounge singer and his keyboard.

As for the complimentary shuttle service, yes, you are dependent on it to get into the city but we found this to be no problem at all. Plus, Rome is SO noisy, we were grateful to have our quiet resort hotel to come home to after a day of exploring trying to navigate the scooters and other tourists.

Of all the hotels we stayed in during our tow-week trip, this one was a great value and I would stay here again without hesitation for a stay longer than three nights.

For a Salesconference I had to arrange we ended up at this hotel In Rome...and it was a big hit!

The hotel had everything well organized, amazing personell who did everything for us (even tracking shipments etc!) and the rooms were very spacious, clean and modern.
It had internet access, CNN on the TV and many more!
The conference rooms were perfect and everything had airconditioning.

We loved the location! It's a 10 minutes drive from every highlight from Rome and costs appr. € 13,- per cab drive. Also they have hotel shuttles which work perfect as well and then they drop you off in the area of the Vatican. Perfect but as we were lazy we often took the cab. For your information, I also stayed afterwards at a hotel downtown Rome (close to the Colleseum) and I truly wished that I stayed at the Villa Pamphili. The noise you have downtown makes it hard to sleep at night and the price/quality is so huge that I would say.......stay at Villa Pamphili!

They also had a wonderful pool where we were able to cool down!

Overall...definetely a great hotel for privat visits to Rome ánd for Business trips/conferences!

In between one job in Milan and a new one in Rome, I had to find an apartment for one month which I could also use as a temporary office. Through friends I found this Apartment Hotel located near the Villa Pamphili park, with a nearby bus stop linked to the Vatican with a 10 min. ride. Few apartments, nice furniture, good service, kind owner, internet connection, silent surrounding, acceptable price. I couldn't get a more comfortable accomodation in this chaotic city.

  • Liked — The location in a green area easy accessible from the town center
  • Disliked — The lack of a concierge from 13:30 to 15:00

I stayed 2 nights in this hotel end March for a Conference. Arrived 9pm day 1 - receptionist handed over my key card and started talking to another guest (who had butted in in Italian) without pointing out where the lifts or my room were. As one of the digits on the keycard folder was not clear I had to wait.
Then I got to the room and rang for some room service. Phone rang twice for 2 minutes - no reply. I called reception who said they would get the restaurant to phone me - 20 minutes later and still no call so I phoned again and the restaurant finally called to take my order which took another 30 minutes to arrive.

After that not so bad. I stayed here some 3 years ago and the rest was about the same - food average, room and housekeeping were fine. They have a big pool but it was still shut. The good thing is the location next to the park and the shuttle buses to/from the airport and into the centre with a drop-off point near the Vatican.

Personally I would avoid staying there again.
