We booked this hotel as we wanted some where close to rome for sightseeing but with a pool. This hotel was a brilliant choice. The hotel itself is lovely, like a good 4* in this country. It has a lovely size pool which looks small but isn't at all (though no pool bar there is a bar inside hotel where you can get drinks but they are expensive). Staff were excellent and supplied us with map with all the sights on on our arrival. The hotel runs 2 shuttle bus's to 2 destinations all day from very early in the morning. The one bus drops you right outside the underground metro station which is easy to use and cheap! We caught these shuttle buses every day and only had problems on two days. One day we were getting an early bus and not everybody waiting got on the bus as it was full so had to wait 40 mins for the next one. The other time was the last bus home at 11, there was an ordally que formed when we arrived at the bus stop but when the bus arrived it was a bit of a free for all to get on and 4 people didn't fit and had to get taxis, this only happend the once though. As long as you're there 5/10 mintues before hand there are no problems. The only other problem is that the hotel bar and food is very very expensice (18 euros for a burger and chips, 14 euros for a toasted sandwhich on its on etc). We had breakfast included in the price of the room so bought stuff for our lunch when in rome the night before if we knew we were going to be staying around the hotel the next day. When in the hotel you cannot walk anywhere, only take the bus so you cannot walk to a shop or anything, you have to get supplies when you travel into rome. We also bought drinks in rome and put them in our mini bar to take to the pool the next day :)
Those bad points really were tiny things, i would deffinately book this hotel again, the pool was an absolute godsend! as we were there in july it was boiling!! we had to give up sightseeing one day by 11am as it was just too hot!!

  • Liked — just good quality accommodation and good pool
  • Disliked — the price of food and drinks in the hotel

This hotel has one major asset : a very big pool. When it is hot in Rome, that is exactly what you want.

Alas, other reasons to go here are not plentiful. The hotel is very far away from the centre of town, and you either take a taxi (10 euro one way) or the hotel shuttle, but it brings you only to a metro station. So add 20 euri per day at least.
The rooms are OK, not very big. The bathrooms are a bit weary. It is all quite old and needs redecorating (at least). Staff is friendly, but not really up to standards. But it is not overly expensive, i paid 129 per night, for 3 nights in high season.

Stayed for one evening, while in Rome, with two children. Were upgraded to a suite, at no extra charge. Shuttle bus back to the hotel can be a pain. No reason to provide a negative review to this hotel. Would stay there again without hesitation.

We read some great reviews and some terrible reviews before booking and decided to take a chance.
The rooms were great, big for Italy, clean and tidy and had everything you need. The corridors were a little 'tatty' and need to be painted/refurbished. Communal areas were fine also.
The food in the restaurant was great for breakfast but only average for evening meal which we tried once. Other nights we were out in the City or Trastavere.

The best thing about the hotel is that it is out of the city and you can escape to the comfort of the surroundings and a superb well run pool area.
People complain about difficulty in transportation but the hotel supply buses which were perfect for getting you to a metro or tram stop and we used this all the time to good effect.

The staff were fine if you didn't treat them like dirt and if you tried to use a little Italian they loved it. A number of North Americans complained loudly about items which were not really important and I was totally embarassed. If you just get on with your holiday and mould a little the hotel is great.

In between one job in Milan and a new one in Rome, I had to find an apartment for one month which I could also use as a temporary office. Through friends I found this Apartment Hotel located near the Villa Pamphili park, with a nearby bus stop linked to the Vatican with a 10 min. ride. Few apartments, nice furniture, good service, kind owner, internet connection, silent surrounding, acceptable price. I couldn't get a more comfortable accomodation in this chaotic city.

  • Liked — The location in a green area easy accessible from the town center
  • Disliked — The lack of a concierge from 13:30 to 15:00
