We had a very pleasant stay here our last night in Rome. The man at the front desk could not have been more helpful, breakfast was lovely, the room was comfortable and clean - no bedbugs (in response to a previous revies). It was a very good value and in close location to the Termini station which gives you quick access to just about anywhere in Rome. I would recommend it. Mention the Rick Steve's book and get a discount!

Unfortunately, I had a very negative experience with Hotel Montreal, though not exactly with the hotel itself (cause I never happened to stay there), but with the staff. Actually, I booked a room in this hotel on its site using my credit card but then changed my mind and cancelled the booking. However, I was later very disappointed to find out the money for 1 night had been withdrawn from my card, despite the fact that I had cancelled the booking in advance, according to the hotel policy. I did my best trying to get my money back, sent lots of angry letters to the staff but the they did nothing and I never received a refund. Therefore, I would highly NOT recommend you to share your credit card information on the hotel's site!

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Montreal Hotel for a week over Easter and were very happy. The room was a good size and clean. The staff were very helpful, and the location (a 2 minute walk from Termini station, less than 15 minute walk from most Rome sights) is simply superb when you consider how many Rome hotels are actually on the outskirts of the city. Great value for money, highly recommended.

This place has bedbugs. I had several rashes on my body when I got up in the morning. Complaining to the hotel folks didnt help since they maintained they didnt have bedbugs. I showed them the rashes but their explanation was - 'You could have gotten them anywhere!'. Save yourself and save your vacation. Go to a place where the hotel actually cares about its customers.
