“Perfect for relaxing visit to Rome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2013

We are currently at the guesthouse and are thrilled that we somehow found this via Trip Advisor and hundreds of web searches! It's everything the other posters have said. A large living room/dining area plus kitchen with a lovely outdoor space with ping pong and comfortable seating...Andrea put the cushions out for us last night as the weather has turned nice. We have the Japanese Room and the White Room and are comfortable ...I only book places with private baths...and this fit the bill. Extremely clean and neat....feels like we are staying in someone's home. The large park nearby, villa pamphili, is great for running. The place is filled with local runners, people with their dogs, babies and old men reading the paper sitting with their dogs!
We have been walking many places but find that taking a taxi back makes it easier after lots of walking. All the taxis seem to have GPS so just take a card with the guesthouse and you will be able to get back without a problem. Highly recommend this place if you want to relax and be away from the tourist scene to stay...the crowded tourist sites are close!

I celebrated my birthday with my two sons in Rome and was fortunate to stay at the Monteverde Guesthouse. The apartment is tastefully designed and furnished and is comfortable, with a fully functional kitchen. The Trestevere area proved to be a nice quiet refuse from the bustle of Rome, with services close by, including a farmers market and deli within two blocks and grocery within an additional three blocks--all the better to get the ingredients to cook, which we did often. The hosts, Delia and Andrea, are friendly, responsive, helpful and gracious. We look forward to another excuse to return to Rome and the Monteverde guesthouse.

Room Tip: All the rooms are nice. The White Room is smaller than the other three rooms. All have very nice bat...

The wife and I stayed at the Monteverde Guesthouse for the Roma leg of our European Honeymoon vacation and it was simply the best. The property is located just a little bit away from the city center, Vatican and Colosseum, a short ride from the bus or tram. The neighborhood is calming and a welcome change from hustle and bustle of the major tourist centers. After a long day of sight-seeing, the guesthouse is perfect for a little quite and relaxation.

The guesthouse is clean, comfortable and spacious. Personal bathrooms are also a plus. The best thing about the guesthouse is the people who run it. Andrea and Delia made you feel right at home. They were super helpful and were always available to our needs. They go above and beyond in terms of being good hosts. For example, after asking for a recommendation for dinner, Andrea personally called the restaurant of a friend of his to make reservations for us. The restaurant was great, super local and something we would have never found on our own. We had some taxi issues initially getting to the place and Delia made sure we got there ok.

I would not hesitate to make a booking to this bed&breakfast. Delia & Andrea will treat you right and the price cant be beat. You will not be disappointed. BOOK NOW!

Room Tip: We had no complaints with the Red room.

I stayed at Monteverde for a long weekend with two friends and we all really enjoyed the comfortable, spacious apartment. It was the perfect base for exploring Rome: only ten minutes from the city centre by tram only five minutes in a taxi from the end of the street to St Peter's. (To find a taxi rank turn left on leaving the apartment, walk up Via Gabriele Rossetti, turn left onto the main road and walk for a few minutes.)

It was great having breakfast provided each morning, and an outside terrace with sofas, as well as a large, comfortable open plan living space, not to mention free wifi and a free laptop for making last minute ticket bookings etc. The entire flat has high ceilings and is very clean and is stylishly decorated. Andrea was very welcoming, friendly and helpful.

I can't recommend Monteverde highly enough and will definitely stay again if/when I go back to Rome.

Room Tip: The green (or was it cream?) room is the largest.

My wife & I and our close friends visited Rome, and stayed at the Monteverde Guesthouse. The two rooms we were given were very comfortable for our needs. We had the Cream and Japanese rooms and they were well appointed. The public areas were very comfortable and offered a good area to visit during our down time. The breakfast was adequate and gave us a good start for our days of exploring the city. Andre provided excellent information to help us enjoy our visit to the Rome sights. He gave us good information on places to eat, and excellent tips for using the public transit system. The Guesthouse is located in a safe and walkable neighborhood. Even without a cell phone, we were able to have our needs met very well, down to the pre arranged ride to take us to the airport at the end of our visit. Andre and Delia operate a comfortable establishment that we highly recommend.

Room Tip: The Cream room was quite large and comfortable. Both rooms used by our party were quiet and comfort...

I stayed here at the end of September with my husband for 3 nights and used the b&b as a base to explore Rome. The b&b is about a 20 min walk to Vatican City, then a further 20 mins to the main sights of Rome. The b&b was beautiful, we stayed in the red room and it was decorated well, the breakfast was basically coffee and toast but cereal and cakes were available and you were free to use the kitchen if wanted. We had a bit of trouble finding the b&b from the bus stop but a friendly Italian lady helped us. A small street map from the bus stop to the b&b would be helpful to find on the web site. There are only a couple of restaurants within close proximity to the b&b but we walked to trastevere in the evening and found some wonderful restaurants and bars, you could also catch the bus very easily. All in all a great place with wonderful and helpful hosts. We will be recommending to our friends. Hopefully we will return one day....we loved it.
