“Clean, good location, helpful staff, pretty.”

The room was clean and wonderfully decorative. Those with back problems might find the beds a bit hard, but I slept like a rock. Better water pressure than I have at home! Barman was a gem, very helpful, and so were the desk clerks. Hotel is in a wonderful neighborhood, by Bernini's Poseidon statue, Barberini metro, and a street away from the US Embassy. Breakfast had many options and was all delicious. Go!!!

The room we had was decent enough with a very comfortable bed and friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is in a good location near the Villa Borghese and just 5-10 minutes wlk from the Spanish steps. There is a bus stop just outside to help you around the city if you don't fancy walking.

The decor is slightly over the top and the television picked up about 6 channels, one of which was in English (BBC World News) and you could hear the water running when the people in the adjoining rooms had a shower. For us these are pretty minor complaints as we did not spend a lot of time in the room.

I would definitely avoid the breakfast. It's very much below-par, particularly for Italy. The bacon had the texture of ham and the taste of frankfurters, which I have never come across before. The coffee was horrible. My girlfriend said that the best thing that she had was the co-co pops. There is a decent Cafe nearby which will do you a nice coffee and a cake for about 3 euros, so go for that.

Very comfortable, clean hotel, with a great free breakfast in a nice location in Rome. A little off the beaten path, but only about a 15 minute walk to the nearest historical landmarks. Great restaurant down the street called Otto e Mezzo. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

Close proximity to Termini station yet in a quite area. It was walking distance to many sights. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Beautiful lobby. Breakfast was very good. Only complaint would be the loud noise the pipes made after toilet was flushed. Would recommend and would choose to stay again.

We stayed at the Veneto Palace for 6 nights and are overall experience was very nice. The staff was almost universally nice and the room was spacious enough and well maintained. Our room number was 107 (on the 2nd floor in Europe and most other countries except the US). The hotel is far away enough from the tourist ares to be quiet but close enough to transportation that you can get anywhere you need to in a few minutes. The Via Veneto is 3 blocks away and is a great street for shopping and eating. Other restaurants even closer plus a great little market one block to the northwest. The good points: The room was big by European standards . The bed was comfortable enough. There was a safe which was greatly appreciated. The minibar was not pre-stocked but that allowed you to use it as a fridge if you wanted. The bathroom was nice. Best of all was the breakfast buffet which was great. You could even make yourself some cold meat sandwiches to take for lunch if you wanted. The staff was very friendly except the dayshift front desk man who needed to smile more and not give off the impression he hated Americans, afterall our money is just as good as anyone else's and that is paying his salary. I tried to complement the hotel upon check out but got no response from him at all. Cons: The air conditioning was not allowed to be on since it was not the summer season which was unfortunate for us since our room faced the sun and Rome was having an unusually warm and sunny holy week. We returned to our room every evening and were glad the window opened to allow cool air in. Unfortunately it let street noise in also. When closed the window did keep out the noise pretty well. The walls however did not keep out the noise from the next room at all. The wi-fi worked well outside our room but there was no signal at all in our room. Even though the cons section is longer than the pros section, they are minor and doesn't hurt the rating that much.

Room Tip: Avoid the west facing rooms because of heat from the afternoon sun.

Our tour company booked us in here and the hotel was "boutiquey" and upgraded and clean. Our room was fine and fairly spacious, but it was on the top floor so it had a sloping ceiling which sort of took away the usefullness of the extra space) and you couldn't really use/look out the 1 little window. The bathroom was ok, but the shower was teeny-tiny. Since we went out on the tour bus, and didn't walk the neighborhood, I'm sorry but I can't say much about the location and what was around it. I think someone said there were some pretty good, fancy and pricey restaurants right in the immediate area. The US Embassy and Consulate is a couple blocks over and I see where some of my tax dollars are going (looks like a pretty darn nice place!). We only had a tour welcome dinner here, it was good and fortifying, but it wasn't the gourmet Italian food I was expecting to find in Rome.
