“Great hotel, great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2013

I really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was great, comfy bed and it was clean. The only fault was the aircon, which didn't get quite cold enough and some of the plug sockets were hanging off.

The breakfast was also good, plenty of choice and you could eat as much as you like. The service was good, we even got chocolates on our pillows some nights. The bar on the roof was fab with a great selection of drinks which included snacks of nuts, dips and bread.

We did also try out the spa facilities, the only thing that let it down was the steam room, that didn't work very well.

Would recommend this place to stay in Rome, its right next to campo di fiori which is a great place for a night cap before turning in.

We stayed at the Hotel Lunetta last weekend in Rome. We had a double deluxe room and it was great. The decor was clean and contemporary with hard wood floors (much better than nasty carpet!). The bathroom was huge with a two sinks. The room itself was not large, but that is to be expected in Rome. We didn't have a view from our room, but the hotel has a nice roof deck. The lobby and common areas were great...nicely decorated and space to relax. The buffet breakfast was included in our room rate and it was well worth it. It had everything: bread, jam, yogurt, meat, cheese, fruit, eggs, cereal, etc.

As mentioned, you can walk to pretty much every major site in Rome from the hotel. And if your feet get tired of the cobble stoned streets, cabs are only around 5 Euro. The hotel also has central AC which is a huge plus for summer. It was hot!!!

If you are looking for a small boutique hotel that is walking distance to everything in Rome, then this is your place! The decor was perfect for us (a couple in our early 30's from NYC), it was contemporary, sleek, clean and very comfortable.

Everything was great, service (super, friendly and efficent) breakfast (good quality and ampke choice) location (everything is 20 min walk).Just two minor issues, rooms are a little small though the bef is really comfortable and if you want a spa treatment book it when you arrive not much
availability in our 5 day stay never manage to get an appointment for pedicure.

Very beautiful hotel in an excellent location off of Campo de Fiori, although a little difficult for our taxi drivers to find. The gentlemen at the front desk were very helpful. A bit on the pricy side, but the room and amenities were excellent. The ruins in the basement are fascinating.

Just returned from a 4 night stay and was overall very happy with the hotel. The hotel is a small, boutique style building only a few minutes from Ciampo de fiori (square with restaurants) and about a 5 minute walk to Piazza Novano (similar but better entertainment, restaurants, statues imo). The hotel is in a good, central location; we managed to walk to the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain and Spanish steps easily in an afternoon. You could also walk further to the Colosseum but we took taxi as we had a tour booked. Again, for the Vatican we took a taxi but you could walk, take a bus or metro.
Our room was large-ish I suppose but the bed was fitted into a small alcove so I had to climb on the bed to get out as my side was very close to the wall/window - no big deal though! No view so it was rather dark. Nice marble bathroom with good accessories;shampoo, conditioner, lotion, bathrobes and slippers and hairdryer! Flatscreen TV with a good selection of channels. Minibar also (i.e. coke and water between 4-6E but Rome is very expensive for what you get!). I would possibly suggest an upgrade as the images on here look nicer then my room -but again, I wasn't there during the day so no big deal -the important thing for me was comfy bed and clean room which I 100% got!
We tried the spa (small pool and sauna with treatments if you want to pay). This was complimentary as we booked stay via the hotel website otherwise it may cost about 20E? (Not worth it I don't think as it's too small.). Although the pool is small it was still very nice and relaxing after a long day walking! (Also, very quiet and private).
The breakfast was a buffet style; croissants, fruit etc.
There's a small outside bar area on the roof top but when I visited it was empty and no staff so I decided against it.
The best thing about this hotel I think other than how quiet it is (sometimes felt I had my own personal hotel!-even though it was fully booked) is the staff; all very friendly and willing to help with any questions; booked taxis, showed us best area on the map etc - Great for a first time visitor!
I received a confirmation email from them shortly after booking with an offer of a car to pick me up for 55E. Accepted this and everything went well. However, on the return trip the hotel suggested that we take a taxi (which they booked) as it worked out cheaper 30E (to Ciampino) - so very fair service I think.
If you've booked this hotel then you will receive an excellent service from all the staff :) ENJOY!

Room Tip: Maybe suggest an upgrade to see if you get a lighter and slightly more spacious ?

I would highly recommend this well-situated, comfortable hotel for your stay in Rome. You can easily walk to many sites, like the Piazza Navona, and it's not too far to the Colosseum and Vatican, etc.
The hotel itself is very nice. The staff is friendly and always helpful. Very good breakfast and unlike some buffets, there are servers to bring cappuccino/espresso. The room was not huge, but it felt bigger because of the vaulted ceiling. Comfortable bed, Very nice bathroom, safe and mini fridge in a closet/ alcove. Very quiet and comfortable. There is a lovely rooftop deck with bar service and a great view.
It's just a stone's throw from the Campo de Fiori. Don't miss the market in the morning with all kinds of spices and culinary items.
Try this hidden gem! (We started telling taxi drivers to take us to the Campo de Fiori. It was easier. They all knew where that was, and the Lunetta was just around the corner.)

I came to Hotel Lunetta on a overnight stay to get a flight the next day. The check in was easy with the concierge telling us our room would be ready in an hour (it was 12). He recommended a great restaurant for pizza near the hotel and we wondered in and had lunch, it was great.

When we came back an hour later our room was ready. The rooms were clean and spacious with a comfortable bed and selection of pillows. The channels on the TV were sufficient for entertainment and the tolieterries given were fine. The next morning breakfast was great apart from a lack of milk which was quickly attended to when asked. There is a great selection of pastries, baked goods, cereals and fruit in offer. The check out was quick and easy. The cab the hotel organised was also on time. Overall a great experience with lovely staff who also seem so happy and willing to help.
