“Excellent efficient boutique hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2013

My wife and I were in Rome for four days and found this hotel to be excellent. The front desk was efficient, and Carlo was outstanding. We left an Ipad behind and he helped us get it back. Even before that happened, he always was very kind to us. The rooms were clean and modern, and soundproof. Face the front if possible. Rooftop bar very nice, and breakfast was exactly the light fare with excellent coffee we had hoped for. The location is wonderful, within walking distance of most major sites, and good restaurant right next door. My only complaint was the TV, hard to work, but we were in Rome and rarely in the room, so who cares. Rooms by the way were very clean, and we thought priced fairly. Bathroom very nice, and shower fine. If you want a clean, efficient, and even romantic hotel in an excellent location - this is it.Would go back without question.

We are 2 sisters who stayed in the Hotel Lunetta for 3 nights from Sunday 26th May to 29th May. This hotel is excellent and I highly recommend it if you are looking for something tasteful in a superb location. From the outside facade to the interior, the hotel decor is immaculate, elegant and tasteful. There is nothing tacky about this hotel. We had a double room on the first floor looking out on to the street. The room was a good size with plenty of room to move around. The 2 huge windows that opened on to the street let in plenty of light and air. The bathroom was massive and beautifully finished with plenty of soaps and shampoos. The hotel has a lovely small rooftop bar which looks on to the surrounding buildings. Perfect for a pre-dinner drink or night-cap.

Hotel reception staff were excellent. Big pat on the back to Roberto and Marco. They were both warm and friendly and helped and looked after us throughout our stay, where nothing was too much trouble.

Breakfast was excellent. It was served in 2 small rooms at the front of the hotel, which were bright and beautifully decorated. There was plenty of room and the variety of food was excellent. The breakfast boy was very friendly and helpful and kept us supplied with fabulous cappuccinos. Breakfast included fruit juices, fruit, pastries, breads, cheeses, cold meats, cakes and the most amazing scrambled eggs and bacon.

Location of this hotel is excellent. Very central and surrounded by cafes and restaurants and right next to Campo di Fiori, which has a food market on each morning and musicians playing at night. Across the road is the Piazza Navona. It's about 15 mins walk to the Vatican in one direction and 15 mins walk to the colosseum and Roman Forum in the other. The Pantheon is 5 mins walk and the Trevi Fountain 5 mins more, the Spanish Steps another 5 mins. Everything is close by and you don't need buses or taxis to see any of the main attractions.

The price is higher than a lot of the local hotels, but you get what you pay for. Immaculate service and furnishings and perfect location.

Room Tip: Our room looking onto the street was big and beautiful!

We loved Hotel Lunetta! I would give it the highest rating but I think the price was a bit high. The staff was hands down the best I have ever had in a large city. The room was comfortable although the bath did not have a shower curtain (why do the Europeans not believe in shower curtains? What a mess!). We loved the location near Campo di Fiori & walking distance to all of Rome. Roberto & Vittorio at the front desk made our stay FANTASTIC with restaurant recommendations & help at every turn. I booked this hotel to have a rooftop terrace but there was no view so we opted to go to the top of the Minerva Hotel for sunset. I highly recommend this location with the history of the area and the abundance of fantastic restaurants nearby. The spa was very small & a bit disappointing so we only went once.

Hotel Lunetta is the absolute perfect place to stay in Rome. The location is ideal, within walking distance to all the sights and monuments as well as charming streets and markets. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay flawless. They helped us book a tour, choose restaurants, and even upgraded our room. The room was lovely, upgraded, clean, and even spacious- especially the bathroom. I would put Hotel Lunetta up against a 5 star hotel in the US any day. Our trip to Rome was made immensely better by our experience at this hotel.

My husband and I just got back from Rome. We booked two different hotels in two different areas so we can experience both sides. This hotel was definitely the better one! It is a boutique hotel with the most amazing service I have experienced in Italy or else where in the world. The staff was very helpful and quite courteous.

The rooms are small but it isn't much smaller than any other hotels in Europe. I think what people need to keep in mind with Europe is that it is OLD. Very, very old. The buildings are quite old and to keep the charm, the hotels are limited with the renovations they can do.

The location of this hotel is prime! Walking distance to so many places.

The only little issue we had was the sofa bed. My assumption is that the door frame is too narrow to haul in a king/queen size bed through so I guess you have to pay a little to get a little.

All in all, I would highly recommend staying here.

I stayed 4 nights in Hotel Lunetta with my husband a week ago. We really liked our stay. We had Deluxe room (403) in the 3rd floor and it was very clean and good size. What we missed was a view (which didn't exist at all) and good beds (heavier person like 100kg gets pit into the mattress). The service was excellent all the way. Very good breakfast and heavenly cappuccinos! Best possible location in the city right next to Campo di Fiori and very close to other attractions like Piazza Navona and Pantheon. This must be one of the reasons for high prices as otherwise the room is not worth of 445eur per night. We will definitely return to Hotel Lunetta if we are able to get better deal for the room rate next time.

Room Tip: Rooms facing Piazza del Paradiso

We have just returned from a 5 night stay in the Hotel Lunetta. The Hotel is perfectly placed for visiting all the major sites, everything is within walking distance and if you feel it is too far, the staff will arrange transport for you.
We had two rooms which were interconnecting, for our large family and they were both spotless, well serviced, plenty of hot water, towels in abundance, air conditioning and super crisp sheets to climb into after a long day walking.
The breakfasts are plentiful and extremely fresh and the coffee was the best in Rome.
The staff are totally fantastic and nothing was too much trouble, they arranged trips for us and were genuinely interested in how we had spent our day, very refreshing to be greeted with a real smile.
The rooftop terrace is the perfect places to sit for a glass of something cold before you head out to dinner and the staff are on hand should you need suggestions of where to dine.
All in all I would have no hesitation about staying here again and recommending it to either young or old, with or without small children. A perfect place to stay.
