“Great location!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2012

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Lunetta. It was very modern and chic, and, although the rooms were small, they were designed so that you did not feel cramped or clastrophobic. The hotel is in a great location, and within walking distance to the Vatican, Campo de Fiori, Piazza Navona, and the Forum. We surely hope to return to Rome and stay at Hotel Lunetta once again.

My 12 year old daughter and loved the hotel. The location was amazing, perfect for walking around in the evening. The upstairs bar was fantastic, great place to relax! Rooms were small but clean and stylish.

This is a lovely hotel in the heart of the city. Inbetween the Vatican and the Roman ruins, it's a great base for exploring the city on foot. Cool and tastefully decorated its a great place to start and end a day sightseeing. You must enjoy a drink on the roof terrace bar before going out for an evening meal. Ask to see the hotel's own Roman excavation in the basement which was apparently built within the walls of an ancient Roman theatre. Hotel manager and staff couldn't do enough for us!

We stayed at the Hotel Lunetta for 5 nights. Beautifully refurbished hotel in walking distance to nearly all of Romes main attractions. 30 second walk to Campo de Fiori and just a few minutes more to Piazza Navona and the Pantheon. Rooms are very small, even for European standards and there is really no where to store suitcases but they are beautifully done. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast rooms are small but the breakfast selection was adequate. Beautiful cappucino's every morning. Minor gripe, which seems to be standard for Italian hotels but there was no iron & board in the room.

First, let me say our family is very fortunate in that we are able to travel frequently and we have stayed in dozens of highly rated Trip Advisor recommended hotels. Our stay at Lunetta was one of the highlights of our trip to Rome. First, the location is PERFECT, in a very safe and attractive neighborhood. You can walk to all of the sites and wonderful restaurants are just outside the hotel door. I have stayed elsewhere in Rome and this is by far the best hotel, the best breakfast (made-to-order capuccino and SCRAMBLED eggs-difficult to find in Rome) and the best service. Yes, a few of the rooms are a bit small, but they more than make up for that with the furnishings and atmosphere. The staff was very personable and helpful both with the adults and teens in our family. The ROOF TOP BAR is the perfect place for an evening cocktail. We did not have time to check out the spa, so I can't give it a review. I am counting the days until I return to Lunetta and look forward to recommending it to family and friends. WE WILL DEFINITELY STAY HERE AGAIN! Thank you to all the Lunetta staff, The Capogrossis

Room Tip: Pay a little extra for a larger room.

We stayed for six nights and were very impressed by the service and location of this hotel. The rooms are a little small but we didn't spend too much time there so it wasn't a problem. Breakfast was varied and fresh. Just be aware that if you don't book directly with the hotel, you have to pay for the spa services including the hot tub.

Stayed for four nights, second trip to Rome.
Location is superb, just off Campo de' Fiori. Piazza Navona, the Pantheon and Trastevere are less than 10 minutes walk. The Colosseum and Spanish Steps are around 20-25 minutes away but we walked everywhere. Taxi to and from Termini to the hotel is required but the location is worth it - allow 15 euro each way.
The room was functional and clean but nothing special. The lighting was a little dim; one of the lamps was broken and there was no plug socket for the standard lamp which may have helped! The size of the double deluxe room was reasonable but there was no real space for luggage storage and the wardrobe was tiny - 5 hangers. The bathroom was spacious and clean but the water was quite chilly. The WIFI didn't work well in our room; probably due to it's location at the back of the hotel and up some steps. The WIFI however worked well in reception areas so not really an issue. You do have to log in every time which is annoying.
The breakfast was nice but nothing special.
Overall, this is a good hotel but with no atmosphere and whilst the staff were courteous staff were not particularly helpful/approachable. I have travelled alot in Italy and I would say that this is a good hotel but for 300 plus euro per night I would expect a little more given experiences elsewhere. Need to iron out a few things in my opinion.
