“Perfect, Simple, Great Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2012

My boyfriend and I stayed at Eleven Rome B&B for three nights in May and loved it. The location is a 5-10 minute walk from Termini station, which we got to via the Leonardo Express from Fiumicino airport. It is on Via Merulana, arguably one of the prettiest roads in Rome in my opinion since it is lined with trees, has wide sidewalks, and drinking fountains. The B&B is 5 minutes from the Colosseum, and with some good walking shoes and healthy legs accessing the Vatican, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, and more can be easily seen by foot - which is what we did, and we're tired but we didn't spend a dime on taxis or buses.

The B&B is simple, very clean, comfortable, and functional - it was not our goal to spend a lot of time in our room. So if you're like us and just want a place to safely store luggage, comfortably sleep, be conveniently close to everything, have access to a clean bathroom, at an affordable rate - this was perfect. We had the smallest of four rooms, and there are two shared bathrooms, and everything was very very clean - zero dust, dirt, or bugs. We were given pastries, juice, and access to a coffee machine daily, which was perfect to get something in our stomach and out the door to explore the city. Via Merulana is a busy street but we didn't need earplugs and slept fine. If you're a light sleeper I would recommend them.

Also - free wifi, television (who watches tv in rome??), and super friendly manager Alessandro is very helpful. There is a small courtyard in the building for safe outdoor space, morning stretch or exercise, etc.

I made a 3 night booking early December to ensure I got the best price, unfortunately since then I received communication (mid Feb) some 3 months after the booking that they couldn't accept my C/C details and that they will now cancel - upon calling them directly they tell me the government has closed them down for the 3 days I am in Rome, one quick search on expedia shows they are still taking bookings at a higher rate than I paid in December - be careful of these frauds!

Really have to depend on public transportation to get to most sites. Close to the Colosseum, Forum, and a few other churches. Otherwise, have to walk far or use buses/metro. Clean rooms and shared restrooms. Alessandro was extremely helpful and available for questions and recommendations. Room was fairly large for the two of us. Could hear the traffic but great view of a beautiful street.

Situated very close to the Colosseo (5 minutes of walk), Roman Forum, Santa Maria Maggiore and San Giovanni in Laterano churches and Termini Station, BB ElevenRome it's a simple, clean and friendly place to stay for young people.
Also, it's very close to public transportation (buses and metro). They will take you in less than 30 minutes to all major sights.
Please note the address. There is no sign outside in the street indicating BB Elevenrome.
Alessandro, the guy at the reception is very kind and he'll help you anytime.

Located in a very busy street, but with excellent double glazing, shutters outside and shutters inside you can't hear the road at all during the night. The host, Allesandro is great with his English and very helpful, he even brings you breakfast to your room. Ask him to recommend a restaurant for you as its a goodie..
