“Perfect Home Base”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2012

We visited Italy and Croatia right after Hurricane Sandy. In fact, our flight was originally planned to link through EWR New Jersey as the hurricane hit. Needless to say, our flight was cancelled, as were our next rescheduled flights. Throughout this, I was in contact with Feliz in Roma and our other booked lodging for our month's planned vacation. Federico was most understanding and accommodating of our change of plans, unlike other establishments who, understandably, charged sometimes very high cancellation fees. Feliz in Roma made the necessary changes when possible, and gave us a break on fees we could not recover from the booking agency. I recommend booking directly, if possible. During a very stressful time, his cooperation and understanding was a boon to my increasing confusion as I dealt with the many changes and adaptations for a planned month-long vacation.

We used Feliz in Roma as the hub of our trip, as we needed to return to Rome for our flight to Croatia and back. With the changes in dates, we ended up staying on 4 separate occasions, and Alberta stored our large luggage pieces in between, so we only needed to carry small pieces for our various shorter forays to other cities. This was such a considerate option, which is typical of the gracious and helpful hosting of the entire family.

Feliz in Roma is perfectly situated for touring Rome. A short walk in either direction takes you to the Coliseum and surrounding museums and other attractions, or the Basilica San Giovanni in Laterano, and the bus and metro hub of Porta San Giovanni. Just a block away is the beautiful and historically fascinating Basilica di San Clemente. Close by on the street are small groceries, which are useful as Feliz in Roma has a small, well-equipped kitchen for the use of guests.

Our room was spotless, comfortable, and well equipped. Although we were over a busy street, our room was quiet. Our hosts were warm and welcoming. I recommend Feliz in Roma wholeheartedly.

On arrival could not be made more welcome, Alberta was a fantastic hostess who could not do enough for us, great advice and it was lovely to come back to our room on the evening of my wife's birthday to find 2 glasses and a bottle of champagne. The rooms were so clean and the bed was the most comfortable of any we have ever slept in whilst being on holiday. There is a small dining kitchen with all amenities, microwave, coffee maker and a hob if required. The B&B is situated in a perfect location close to the Colosseum and Roman Fortress. There were some lovely restaurants in the area. All In all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to come back. I have already passed the address on to a colleague who is planning a trip to Rome after Christmas.

We stayed for 2 nights here coming back from Umbria for our honeymoon. Alberta gave us excellent tips when we arrived on where to go and where to eat. Her best tip: avoid places with big color pictures of the food and coke signs! The location was excellent, and both Alberta and Francesco were so great, we would have loved to just hang out with them over dinner one night, maybe next time!
They were kind enough to arrange transport for us to the airport in the morning and left us a sweet note and little bottle of champagne to congratulate us.
As for the room, it was spotless, well decorated and the beds were so comfortable! On our next visit to Rome we will definitely be staying at Feliz in Roma.

Had a really nice time in Rome, we stayed for 4 nights at this bed and breakfast and we absolutely loved it. Very nice owners, couldn't help us enough. Gave good tips regarding where to go and the easiest way to get tickets for the sights. They also recommended a small restaurant, just down the road from the BnB and we ended up having most of our evening meals there. Cheap but really nice food, got really busy after 21.00 when all the locals turned up (always a good sign).
The BnB was nice and quiet, which we very much appreciated because of all the traffic in Rome it can get quite hectic, but being able to get a good nights sleep was very nice after walking around Rome all day.
The only slightly negative was the breakfast very basic, ready packed croissants etc. nothing fresh. But you could just top it up by buying your own fresh bread etc. The place does have it's own little kitchen area with a hob, fridge and microwave or just nip out to one of the many café's close by.
All in all if we where going back to Rome we would definitely stay here again.

For our 25th we came to Rome. We stayed at Feliz for 10 days. Francesco, and Alberta were simply wonderful and friendly. The rooms are spotless and the location excellent. It is very central to many of the main tourist sites and the Piazza San Giovanni for buses, but also far enough away from those same sites that you escape into neighbourhoods to explore.. Thanks to both of you, and to Federico for a wonderful stay, and for the original art work as an anniversary gift. We hope to see you again.

We stayed here in early October as we were getting married in a church close by. Francesco and Alberta made us feel very welcome and were extremely helpful with all our requests including recommending and booking restaurants and trips for us. The Junior Suite where we stayed was gorgeous. The champagne and nibbles when we returned after the ceremony was an unexpected and lovely treat. We thoroughly recommend staying in Feliz in Roma to anyone. Many thanks again to their hospitality.

My wife and I stayed at Feliz in Roma for 5 nights in September 2012. Amazing place and absolutely no regret with our choice. The room and toilet are clean and comfortable to stay. Both Francesco and Alberta were extremely helpful, friendly and accomodating. Highly recommended!
