Very good service and very professionally run. They anticipate your needs and quickly comply. Very clean nice size room and bath. We had a tub! Good hearty breakfast. Close to the ruins. Located in a residential area which let us observe everyday life. Thankfully we had soundproof windows that we could close if it got too noisy. Pretty view from our window.

The location of this hotel is awesome, you're within walking distance to many major attractions of ancient Rome and Vatican. Breakfast is good and efficient. Service is perfect and reception/concierges are extremely useful and knowledgeable, ask their advice, you will not regret it. We made it to Vatican because they suggested to go on a day before Great Friday. Also they suggested bying train tickets ahead of time.

Tiny hotel (10 rooms on site) but centrally located and with great staff assistance. Rooms smallish (by North Ameeican standards). but nicely furnished and comfortable. Staff arranged transport to from airport and was full of suggestions and assistance on where to go, etc. Even looked up restuarnats on internet for us. Lounge area uniquely furnished like grotto (it was an ancient theatre- thus the name) as was breakfast area. Superb & diverse breakfast. Internet available in lounge as was wireless. Our flight did not leave Rome until 1 am - and after checking out we were welcome to use the lounge. The desk clerk at the time also gave us home made cake (by his mother) while we were waiting. Overall a very positive experience.

Stayed here the nights of November 2 through 5, 2008, and everything couldn't have been better. The car service I arranged picked us up at the airport and whisked us right to the front door of the hotel, and a good thing too, since I'm not sure I would have found it at first by myself. Even after checking in (we arrived early so they held our luggage while we went wandering), I was certain we would find our way back. Guess again! Wandered round and round in a circle until we finally stumbled upon the place. After that adventure we made SURE we knew our way back. The hotel - wonderful, small place and everything couldn't have been nicer. VERY clean, comfortable, great free buffet breakfast, rather extensive by any means. You won't be disappointed with it. Internet connection? Cheap! 5 cents a minute. What a bargain. Two (or three, I forget) computers to use off of the check-in desk. Paolo (the manager), Simone, and all the other staff couldn't have been any nicer. If you are looking for a small, clean, comfortable hotel central to all the sights and transportation lines, look no further. You've found it . . . and at a reasonable price, at least reasonable by Rome standards. I can't remember our room number (there are only 13 I believe), but we were on the top floor facing the front of the hotel. I highly recommend the Teatro di Pompano.
