Tiny hotel (10 rooms on site) but centrally located and with great staff assistance. Rooms smallish (by North Ameeican standards). but nicely furnished and comfortable. Staff arranged transport to from airport and was full of suggestions and assistance on where to go, etc. Even looked up restuarnats on internet for us. Lounge area uniquely furnished like grotto (it was an ancient theatre- thus the name) as was breakfast area. Superb & diverse breakfast. Internet available in lounge as was wireless. Our flight did not leave Rome until 1 am - and after checking out we were welcome to use the lounge. The desk clerk at the time also gave us home made cake (by his mother) while we were waiting. Overall a very positive experience.

Stayed here the nights of November 2 through 5, 2008, and everything couldn't have been better. The car service I arranged picked us up at the airport and whisked us right to the front door of the hotel, and a good thing too, since I'm not sure I would have found it at first by myself. Even after checking in (we arrived early so they held our luggage while we went wandering), I was certain we would find our way back. Guess again! Wandered round and round in a circle until we finally stumbled upon the place. After that adventure we made SURE we knew our way back. The hotel - wonderful, small place and everything couldn't have been nicer. VERY clean, comfortable, great free buffet breakfast, rather extensive by any means. You won't be disappointed with it. Internet connection? Cheap! 5 cents a minute. What a bargain. Two (or three, I forget) computers to use off of the check-in desk. Paolo (the manager), Simone, and all the other staff couldn't have been any nicer. If you are looking for a small, clean, comfortable hotel central to all the sights and transportation lines, look no further. You've found it . . . and at a reasonable price, at least reasonable by Rome standards. I can't remember our room number (there are only 13 I believe), but we were on the top floor facing the front of the hotel. I highly recommend the Teatro di Pompano.

This is a wonderful location for getting around Rome and seeing all it has to offer. The hotel itself is really nothing spectacular, but you can't beat the location for the price. The staff was very helpful and aided us in all our needs in getting around the city.

The room was a little dark and dreary, but definitely clean, which is the most important thing to me. It was a little tricky trying to find the hotel because it is behind another hotel, but if you just ask for directions, you will be pointed in the right direction!

Free breakfast was pretty good, internet usage was really cheap so that was nice too.

This was our last stop on our Italy trip. We were a little surprised that the room was dated compared to the other hotels we stayed in through out our trip. The TV was small and the satellite offered two English stations with BBC sound and picture not matching up. The room was clean and worked out fine once we got used to it. Paolo at the front desk was especially helpful and friendly. The internet offered was very reasonable priced and convenient. We loved the location of the hotel, so many of the major sites were within walking distance.
