I stayed here with my wife on our honeymoon in September 2008.
This part of Rome is my favorite area -- right in the middle of the oldest district. The hotel is itself almost next door to the Campo dei Fiori and is a quick walk to the Piazza Navona or Pantheon.
The room is not lavishly decorated, but was nice. It was also quite large, with an extra smaller bed we did not even use. There was no road noise (we got a top floor room facing the courtyard) and the air conditioning was fine.
The staff was hit and miss. Paolo and Simona were wonderful, especially Paolo, who is sweet, warm, energetic and helpful. However, a couple other front desk people were a lot stiffer and less helpful, almost making me feel like I was bothering them to ask them questions.
The breakfast was sufficient, and is served in a cozy setting in the ancient understructure.
The price is fairly high -- the highest of any hotel on our trip -- but I guess that is Rome.
