This hotel is right in the heart of the city, with the market and shops, restaurants and cafes just steps away. And the main attractions are within walking distance (except St. Peters may be a little far for some to walk, a cab there is around $10). The area is touristy, but what area of central Rome isn't? Our room was recently redecorated, small but lovely. We thought 180 Euros was a good price for such a well located hotel. And it had a comfortable, plush, true double bed. As previous reviewers noted, the hotel has a furnished rooftop openair terrace with amazing views, a great way to relax after a day of walking through this wonderful city.

The hotel was absolutely charming and the service was perfect. The front desk staff was very helpful in every way. The location couldn't have been better, within walking distance to all the major sights. The breakfast was nicely prepared and served. The view from the terrace is spectacular! I was amazed at how quiet our room was as the hotel is right in the piazza which was very busy at night. The only suggestion I would have is that they have more light in the room. I hope to return to Rome some day and stay at this hotel.

Stayed in apartment which is across square from hotel - great setup around the corner from excellent take-out pizza (quick lunch after we arrived on our dining room table). The Campo de Fiori is an excellent location (could it be better?) with loads of restaurants there, and interesting walks to most parts of the historic centre (we never bothered to take public transport while we were there, though we are keen walkers). The staff at the hotel were outrageously helpful, suggesting iterineraries when we wanted them, staying in the background when not. I would definitely come again (and stay at the main hotel or in the apartments). The apartments work out great if you're travelling (as we were) with kids. The only draw back is that the room that faced onto the little road was a bit noisy at night - there's a club just next door, and while we couldn't hear the club we did hear people chatting when they had spilled out of the door. However I feel like, that's what you get for staying in a great area of town: want it deathly calm? stay in the suburbs.
