“Much better food elsewhere”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 23, 2012 via mobile

Nice decor, friendly staff, but the food was not memorable. The house wine was quite bad. With so many other options is Rome, I wish I had done more research and eaten elsewhere. We had pizza at Focaccia on a different night, and it was much better. The pizza at IL Forno in Campo de' Fiori can't be beat. Pietro al Pantheon and another restaurant (Giggetto) in the Jewish Ghetto were much better, too.

“Good seafood linguine”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

I'm surprised by some of the feedback for Zio Ciro as my husband and I always make a point of eating at the Jazz Bar when we are in Rome. We find the ambiance to be most congenial and the waiters friendly and helpful.

The decor is trendy and there are large black and white photos of great jazz musicians on the walls.

On this trip we had great antipasto, the best homemade linguini with seafood and a nice chilled jug of house white.

It might be a touch on the dear side but as far as we are concerned, worth every penny. We keep going back.

“Nice decor”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2012

This restaurant was near our hotel and we passed it each day looking in at the diners. So one night we tried it. The decor looked fresh with red wooden chairs and colourful checked table cloths. Photos of Louis Armstrong were on the walls. You could choose inside/outside dining. We had octopus salad, chicken salad and carbonara. Nothing special about the meal, just OK. Service was good.

“Great food, great value, great staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2011

On our recent trip to Rome, my family and I enjoyed the food and friendly service at this restaurant several evenings. We enjoyed a delicious meal for a reasonable price. The staff was helpful and friendly.
