“A pleasant Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Modern, Clean, Friendly. The location is about 5km from the Vatican, yet there is a bus stop right outside the hotel which costs 1.50 euro each way and take less than 30 minutes. The breakfast is wonderful, plenty of choice, lots of fresh ingredients and you can also request pancakes, omelettes, fresh orange juice etc. The staff are very helpful & friendly.

Modern, clean, friendly, one year old. Very comfortable, trendy, loved the design. Shuttle bus to the Vatican - 15 mins or local bus stop outside. Could not have asked for better.

Nice room with a very comfortable bed. Love the design of the room. As I am on level 1 which is on the same floor as the restaurant. It was quite noisy along the corridor even at 11pm. Had a little problem with the door lock but they are quite fast to attend to me.

We booked 2 dinner with the hotel restaurant and it was really disappointed to be served with processed meat patty as a main course. Didn't enjoy the food at all.

Room Tip: I guessed I can connect to the wifi because I am right on level 1. My friends on higher floors had p...

The Holiday Inn (formerly known as the JSH) hotel was ideally situated outside the city. The bus to the main centre stopped literally right outside. They also ran a shuttle service to the Metro at convenient times. On arrival the four of us took the lift to our two bedrooms which were placed next door to each other as requested.

Our rooms were spotlessly clean and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. The room was air-conditioned.

The hotel staff were very professional and helpful. They organised our taxis in advance of our trip so that we didn't have to worry about the haggle over prices. It was a straight 50 euros each way to the airport, which was about a 30 minute journey. Just email them and they will help you.

Our first experience of the bar and food service was a lovely bottle of chilled white wine, olives and nibbles which was refreshing and reasonably priced. We absolutely loved the breakfast each morning especially the cappuccino. We had one light meal of sandwiches one afternoon which was satisfactory too.

On our last day we took a short bus ride to a lovely park recommended by the staff. It was a March day, 25 degrees and the trees were in blossom. It was a great way to spend our last few hours in the early spring sunshine before our return flight home.

I know other reviews have complained about the distance from the hotel to the city centre but really the buses were good fun, cheap at about 1.50 euro and you got to see things along the way which you may have missed. It was only about 30 minutes right into the hub of the city sights and the Vatican.

This hotel was roomy and very clean. Location not ideal as it is far from the city center. But it was only 30 mins to the airport. They also have a nice gift shop. We had drinks at the bar service was great. We had breakfast and dinner as part of our tour package and the food was alright. Overall nice hotel!

Overall the hotel is good, but the receiption seems to be under manpower, very slow for check in and check out. It takes around 10 minutes. Although I am their gold member which they suppose to prepare for quick check in and quick check out, but it does not happen to this holiday inn. Besides this, overall is good. Breakfast is good.

From the hotel to the international airport, there has 2 types of taxi, one is the normal taxi and the other is the fix rate taxi, for the fix rate taxi will cost you 50 euro per trip, which you need to pay the hotel and they will call for you. Fix rate taxi need to call in advance, the hotel will recommend you to take the fix rate, base on my experience, it depends on the timing you travel, if the traffic is good, you can just call the normal taxi and it will only cost around 35 euro.

Room Tip: Choose the room away from the lift and main road

A newish hotel on the outskirts of Rome. We stayed in an executive room which was very spacish and clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable which was a must after being out all day exploring the sites. The local bus service runs from just outside the hotel and takes around 15-20 minutes to get to the centre. Take the 881 bus. No signs in the hotel to tell you which bus to take. You can get bus tickets on the bus but have the right money as the machine gives no change. Alternatively get tickets from the hotel gift shop although it is only open at limited times.
