A newish hotel on the outskirts of Rome. We stayed in an executive room which was very spacish and clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable which was a must after being out all day exploring the sites. The local bus service runs from just outside the hotel and takes around 15-20 minutes to get to the centre. Take the 881 bus. No signs in the hotel to tell you which bus to take. You can get bus tickets on the bus but have the right money as the machine gives no change. Alternatively get tickets from the hotel gift shop although it is only open at limited times.

I paid this hotel a flying visit. I arrived late and needed to be away early.

Holiday Inn have a great formula and I have often booked with them because it works and is hassle free. The problem with formulae is that you have to stick to them.

It's a big hotel on the outskirts of Rome and seems popular with coach parties.

The downstairs reception and bar is a large open space with a fresh modern design.

My room was decent size although the bathroom was cramped and poorly laid out. I could only sit sideways on the toilet and I'm not super tall.

The phone in my room don't work so it was a bit annoying to group back down to reception to get the wifi code they hadn't given me on check-in. No one seemed bothered or concerned about the broken phone.

In the morning I discovered that the in room beverages only contained tea. I needed a strong coffee after being woken continually between 0500 and 0530 by a departing coach party who needed to bang loudly on each others doors and shout up and down the corridor outside my room. If my phone had worked I might have asked reception to send someone upstairs to shut them up!

Breakfast was pretty average - but at least there was a decent coffee!

On check out there was not really any interest in how my stay had gone.

I travel a lot for work and often just drop into hotels for a single night. Mostly I think of the experience a a bit of a chore so when tiny things don't quite work they perhaps become disproportionately irritating. But at midnight, after a long journey you just need thing to work like they should - sadly it wasn't really the case here.

I will be back in Rome but will probably stay at another hotel closer to my client's offices.

Stayed here with my girlfriend, hotel was good. Easy to get to city by bus out side. Only issue was the breakfast area and a child with his family constantly coughing with out hand over his mouth over the food etc. was enough to turn us off eating at the hotel as nothing was done. Other then that, not a bad stay

The Guest Service staff were incredibly helpful, provided maps and suggested bars and restaurants that did not let us down. The Front Office Manager really took great care of us and knew just the right suggestions to make. Very friendly and welcoming. Rooms were very comfortable and clean, showers were fantastic, great water pressure. Located directly across from a bus stop with frequent service right into town, could not have been easier. We would definitely stay again and recommend to others. Not close to town but with the bus service it really is very simple. Last bus leaves the centre at midnight so would need a taxi back if you were planning a late night out but otherwise everything was perfect. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay and for helping with maps, airport shuttle and suggestions, really made our stay in Rome!

The Holiday Inn Pisana is not located in the central downtown part of Rome, but there is a bus stop right across the street that will get you there in about 20 minutes. The city can be a little hectic so we were fine with staying a little further outside, especially with the easy accessibility provided at this hotel. The rooms and the entire hotel had a contemporary and modern theme, beautifully decorated. We dined at the hotel restaurant one night. The menu was very small but the orecchiette dish I ordered was delicious. What impressed us the most about our stay was the staff. Every person there was extemely friendly, helpful, and greeted us with a smile on their face. Frank, the front desk manager went above and beyond and was very accommodating to us. This was my first time in Rome and I was a little lost, but if we ever needed directions, tips on where to go, etc., they were there to guide us. When I come back to Rome I will be staying here!

We stayed two nights here and used a Groupon deal. It was three couples so we had three double rooms. The hotel is not close to central Rome. A taxi ride to the Vatican is about 16 euros and to the Trevi fountain is between 20 - 25 euros. They offer a shuttle to the local metro station but we didn't make use of it as it only seats 8 people, they don't have a list so being such a large party it was difficult to get a ride on the shuttle for all of us at the same time. We just took taxis (it was comparable cost wise and we weren't limited to the shuttle pick-up/drop-off times).

Pros: Clean rooms. Included breakfast was good. Cappuccino was fantastic. Servers during breakfast were very courteous and nice.

Cons: Front desk staff were touch and go. Some were friendly but a few were a little rough around the edges. Also, no matter what anyone tells you there are plenty of cabs that seat 6 passengers. Overall, with the exception of the restaurant staff, I was not impressed at all with the service provided by the hotel staff.
