The hotel is very well located, within 10 min walking distance from St. Peter's church and 10 minutes walking from the Spanish Steps., 15 min from Piazza Navona.
The rooms are large, which is rarely the case in Rome, and clean. Also the washroom was clean. The main minus in the room was the bed, which was not very comfortable. Breakfast included cheese, salami, ham, yogurt, two different kinds of bread, croissant, corn flakes, any kind of coffee (Cappucino included) etc. In comparison with much of Italy, it was a good breakfast.
The price depends on the room, but for Rome it seems to be reasonably priced.

We stayed at the Hotel Sant Angelo from June 09 to June 18, 2009. We have previously visited this same Hotel for one week last year, and before that we stayed there for one week during 2000.

We think that the hotel location is excellent for most of the main sights of Rome. The Hotel has always been very quiet, the breakfasts are quite basic, but adequate. The room cleaning is excellent with clean linen in the bathroom everyday. We were unhappy that during the nine days there the bedsheets were changed just once, on the Monday.

For the hotel location we would recommend it for all travellers.

The hotel is small and definately not 3 stars. ( later on in our visits to other cities in Italy that Italian star system seems to be lower standereds than other europian standeredrs). The reception is seperate and the enterenace to the building for the rooms is from an ally. The elevetor is very small and with Lugage only one person can go. Rooms are small but comfirtable. The walls of the room are thin so lot of noice from the streets but also can hear guests from other rooms. However the staff were nice and help full. The location is perfect. Infact we walked to all the places except the station where you have to take a cab. The breakfast was being served in another hotel across the street but it was good. One has to go there early as every one is in a hurry to go for sight seeing so it gets crowded very fast.

We selected hotel Hotel Sant' Angelo for it´s great location and low rates. When visiting this hotel I definitely reccomend taxi transport (Mercedes cars) from/to the airport organized by the hotel for 50€ - one way/max. 4 people.
We had a triple room and a double room.
Rooms:
- clean / room service everyday
- refrigerator - (triple room)
- view - nothing special
- thin walls - you can hear everything your neighbour does :-( - pretty annoying
- bathroom - really small - 3/5 for cleanness
- beds - uncomfortable
Breakfast:
- poor
- dirty chairs at the table
- bread - not fresh everyday :-(
Location:
- great - we pretty much walked to all the historical sites
- shooping - fantastic
