I booked this hotel because of the reviews on trip advisor. However, personally I was a little disappointed in the room as well as the "full breakfast" - below that calibre of a continental breakfast. The staff could not have been nicer....very helpful/accomodating/etc.....nonetheless, would not recommend. My son and I swear we got bug bites at night.

Go to the Michael Angelo Hotel by the vatican instead (we stayed there on our way home).

I had a suite which was booked on Orbitz at a fantastic rate. This room had two bathrooms, two tvs, and a hallway separating the bedroom from the living room area. The room was always made up, the bathrooms clean and effecient. I felt like a had my own apartment- the room was that great. The staff was very friendly. The hotel is businesslike and in a nice neighborhood. Close to Castle St Angelo and the Vatican. Great location for little restaurants. We took the Metro often- only a couple of blocks away. Great room service too.

Location removed from the center of Rome for a quieter experience across the river and near the Vatican. Bus, subway and walking access easy. Local neighborhood close to nice shopping and meals. Rooms small and basic. Internet available for a fee. Breakfast nice. Tap water tastes good. Concierge capabilities varied based on the person helping. Room air conditioning not very effective. Hotel was good but there are probably better places for less.

You will absolutely love this hotel.

The rooms are large (we had a suite), located on the right bank of the Tiber; it's about a mile from the Spanish steps. Intimate hotel - perfect for honeymoon or anniversary stay. Just 80 rooms with antique prints, classic furnishings. Knowledgeable and friendly staff.

The beds are so comfortable and your days are full of walking and private tours; so coming back to a big luxurious room and bedding was fabulous. Our secret, Donna Salerno, Travel Consultant, use google and track her down, we did and she has been doing our travel worldwide for quite some time. She did an amazing job piecing together some exceptional private tours of the city and threaded it with some other amazing places throughout Italy.

Even scored some of the opera tickets in Venice for us - really an amazing experience!
Rome has so much to see and do and this hotel is close to all the sightseeing, restaurants, nightlife and anything else you'd like to walk to see and do! The inside tip is the rooftop terrace - not to be missed!
