My husband and I spent two nights at Dei Mellini at the end of our two week vacation to Italy. It was superbly located for an easy walk to the Piazza Navonne, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, the Vatican, and Sistine Chapel. We were very pleased with the staff, who were friendly, helpful, and spoke conversational English. The room and bath were lovely, and the continental breakfast much more than you would expect. For the price of this four star hotel situated one block from the Tiber River, we could not imagine finding a place more well appointed or well located for this part of Rome. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again, and highly recommend it.

We stayed at this hotel which has a good location. The rooms are nice, clean, spacious with a nice bathroom. The hotel is a short walk to the Vatican City but further away from the main town to the Spanish steps and Trevi Fountain but easily walkable.

The hotel is tucked away a bit and we had to help diect the taxi driver there.

The bar in the hotel is fairly expensive and you are better off trying the less tourist places in town.

I wouldn't hesitate recommending this hotel but I think the hotel maybe more in the town would be better but then probably be more expensive.

Great Hotel. Above average accommodation. We had a room on the 6th floor with small balcony and plenty of space. The staff are excellent, very helpful and speak very good English. Location is out of the city centre so very quiet, byt takes approx 15 minutes walk to the Vatican one way, and about the same to the Old Town and Spanish Steps the other The hotel can organise a car to collect or return to the airport (c45 Euros) and this is worth doing. We pre booked a Terravision bus from Ciampino. Their website said 'Fast and Frequent' and; 'Timed to coincide with arrivals'.... yeah right... We stood around in the full sun for over an hour and had to wait for the second bus to arrive because of the queue. The journey into Rome put us off using this service and we booked a car from the hotel back to the airport. Much more relaxing as long as you ignore the driver cutting everyone else up!
Overall a great place for a city break, would recommend this hotel, but avoid the Terriblevision buse service

This hotel is rather expensive but very good. We were generally happy about it, though nothing really stands out. Maybe the location: Away from the maddening crowds but but still very central, with a bit of a glimpse into Roman life.
