This suite was perfect for our family of 7. Traveling with 3 children and 2 seniors is not easy and this apartment and its owners are wonderful. The simple yet comfortable accommodations made our time in Rome feel like we were at home. 3/2 apartment in Rome in such a neat neighborhood was perfect for our family. Only a 5 minute walk to Trevi fountain, grocery store, and restaurants. Affordable and comfortable for large groups. The owners (Luca and Mario) are helpful and so pleasant to deal with also, they even arranged for a driver to take us straight to the apartment after a long trip! Enjoy Rome but use caution while sightseeing, pickpockets galore.

My wife booked this flat directly online for myself and my mother then was able to also join us. We had three adults in the two bedroom, one bath flat which also has a small kitchenette and a dining room/sitting room. The flat is very convenient to the Colosseum, Piazza Venezia, Palatine and Fori Imperiali area.

We really enjoyed our stay. The flat is of course like everything else in the area - very old. It was also very comfortable and safe. We enjoyed living among local Romans and experiencing Rome like they do. Leonardo, the owner, was very helpful and oriented us to the area when we arrived.

If old world charm rather than modern hotel facilities are your prefered way to travel, I highly recommend this flat.

We were there in September 06 for 15 days. A very nice and pleasant place. Just in the heart of Roma. Our flat was Via Baccina, close to the Forum.
We started with a friendly welcome from Leonardo (flowers on the table and fresh Italian wine in the fridge)
The flat is nice, spacious bedroom with useful cupboard. Every morning, as opening the shutters of the living room we can see the forum
Quiet place, very cosy and comfortable. The kitchen is rather small but actually, it is not the main goal of our trip and as you know we can find a lot of nice and cheap restaurants in Roma (an Italian life is outside). Easy to have a quick lunch before leaving…
Easy to share your journey, lan connection and free of charge phone to contact your family. This allow us to send pictures on a web site and share feelings with on line connection.
Just to help, you can find nice restaurants and small shop (with all needed) around, Via Dei Serpenti and Via Cavour (if needed, we can give you address).
Just a negative point, some trouble with the shower, of course we have water but not coming properly (but this will be better next time)
We lived there as in our home and this was a great pleasure.
This was our third trip in Roma, always with La Dolce Vita and always with the same pleasure and satisfaction.
We will post some pictures.
Thanks to Luca and Leonardo. We will come soon. Best regards.

We stayed at the Top apartment for one night of a projected 5 night stay, but left the next day, fortunately only paying for one night. This is a group of rooms at the top of an ancient house near the Roman Forum. It's not a B&B. Actually part of it is someone's home, who travels a lot. The other is like a very poor student room, with an old stove where the wardrobe should be.

Location is great, everything else is awful. The rooms are old, the decor is neglected, the overall feeling is of dinginess. There was mould growing in the coffee filter.

There is almost no price low enough to justify staying here, and the price was not low! We were supposed to pay Euro 190 per night for a group of 4 people. I wouldn't have stayed for 50!

Fortunately we discovered the Hotel Palatino, nearby, and had a great holiday.

Please do not stay here!

hello, this is Luca the property manager of the apartments at the Forum ; we are not here to discuss the freedom of staying where we feel happier, neither the liberty of sharing our impressions with others, as happens with tripadvisor ; we think though to have the right of reply : the location is exactly as reported and descripted on our website ; no differences or lacks of info ; the apartment comes on a self-catering basis, no meals are served whatsoever ; the apartment is registered with the local authorities who randomly comes to check the property and its features, in terms of security, properness and hygiene ; some travellers unfortunately think that antique means dingy; luckily though there are others who consider antiquities as a rare item, against the modern IKEA style .. So, for the first type of travellers, an impersonal hotel room is much more indicated ; wish for them to always enjoy their vacation elsewhere : nothing personal of course ..

We just returned from a 9 day stay in Rome, we stayed at the La Dolce Vita at Trivi Fountain. It was a great apartment, simply furnished, clean and a great location, only a block from the Trivi Fountain. We were greated by Mario (Mario & Luca are the contacts) and he was very friendly and professional.

Our plane arrived early (7:30am) so after the trip from the airport, which was arranged by Luca, we were greeted by Mario at the apartment. The apartment was very clean, they were cleaning it that morning after another quest had left early that day and they had it done by the time we arrived.

This is a very nice apartment, nothing too fancy but very functional and clean, in a perfect location.
The entire expeience with the apartment was wonderfull, Luca was our e-mail contact and he returned all of our e-mails with all of the answers that we had. This is not a hotel so you are on your own to enjoy Rome. We went with our kids all teenage years and it was a great time and cheaper that hotels.

We will definitely stay here again on our next vist to Rome!
Side Note: Watch you pockets and purses in Rome, they have a BIG problem with snatches in crowds on buses and subways- other than that we felt safe everywhere else.
