If you want a nice hotel in Rome with a decent location and affordable price this is the place for you. The hotel has great access to the metro (perfect for getting around Rome quickly for 1 euro per person) and is within 10 minutes of the train station. It is within a moderate walking distance to most of the sites. While other hotels may get your closer to the sites and center of rome this place was a great deals and had very nice, clean. recently renovated bathrooms and bedrooms. Free wifi, computers, and a good breakfast.

We found the Hotel Mascagni to be even more than what we expected. It is a small hotel with excellent accommdations and an ideal location. We could walk to many key sites and used the nearby metro for the Vatican.. The concierge service was outstanding and personal. They listened to what we wanted to experience and helped us accomplish what we wanted to do. We would definitely stay again in this hotel based on the high level of personal service.

I was a little concerned about chosing a hotel in Rome as read so many bad reviews but the Mascagni was wonderful. The staff could not have been more helpful in particular the gentleman on the desk in the evenings (so sorry cannot remember his name). On arrival we were given a choice of two rooms both lovely but decided to go for the one with a little balcony. The room was very clean, nicely decorated with a large comfy king bed.
The breakast buffet very good and consisted of a variety of fresh and preserved fruit, two types of cereal (a granola and corn flakes), and assortment of sweet pastries, rolls with butter, preserves, cheese and some cold cuts. plus fresh orange juice.
The Hotel was very central for most attractions to walk to and the Metro very close by.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants an enjoyable stay in Rome!

I found this hotel very clean. The position is perfect. The room are not very big I have to admit. We had room n 302 which was close to the service room and was very noisy. I think the problem was only of this kind of rooms though. The staff is very kind!
