I am staying in this hotel right now. and I just had to write a review! My secretary booked this hotel for me as she always does. As I was arriving in Rome, I checked on my laptop where the hotel was. I happened to get the tripadvisor page of the hotel. When I read the reviews I called my secretary to get us another hotel. I couldn't reach her in time so we ended staying at the Turner Hotel after all, at least for the first night. I have to say one thing: THE HOTEL IS GREAT! It is han an antic romantic thing, I do not know how to describe it... It is decorated in a very classic way (I love classic), the rooms are new (at least all our 6 rooms they are), they are furnished with good taste and very clean ! The price for a 4 star hotel is exceptionally good! (maybe as we got 6 rooms they made a big discount, I do not know, I am not sure). Beakfast was included in the deal we had and I must say it was complete; we found everything we needed for a good breakfast in the most breautiful space where you can have breakfast. They serve it in 2 big rooms, with slow classic music in the background. The rooms looks like a room from the Versailles Palace in France, very beautiful. The girl from the Reception speaks perfect English (Laura is her name, she seems English but she is Italian;) and she was very helpful with advice for good restaurants and things to do in the evening. What else? My room is very quiet and spacious. The hotel has a big and elegant conference room, that we rented for a good price. The best thing is that they have FREE WI FI Internet service! We are staying for quite a long period and we would have spent a lot for Internet.
I really do not understand the other bad reviews, probably the people who wrote them didn't stay in this hotel or they got the wrong hotel, I have no other explanation.
I will recommend this hotel to everyone... it has a good central position and the staff is very helpfull and kind.

The rooms were spacious, the furnishing tasteful
but most important of all, the friendly and courteous manner of the people working there.
Ms Laura who would enquirer about the well being of every guest and who would go out of her way to make one feel welcome.
I visited Rome a lot of times, but never was I so happy with the accommodation.

Trip advisor is the smartest way to look up hotels. They do give wonderful opinions all around. I should have used this when booking a two week trip with my better half.

Walk into the room and realize that it stops at the entrance. This wasnt roman style, it was a disaster of Traditional French and Im an immigrated italian in a new country so lets keep plastic on the furniture 90 year old grand mother style.

Fridge inside of the cabinet that was worth more than fridge "baller" for those who know what that means.

No Ac, shower was 2' by 2', with plastic sliding doors. Water Damage.

I checked out the next morning. I booked with expedia and lost the funds for the week's stay. However i did suggest to the staff that perhaps they have the room rented out, so they could hire a contractor and remodel the room. Then again italian worker? perhaps not the best idea.
- FYI I AM ITALIAN.

Upon leaving the cab driver looked at me and said "oh you decided to change hotel? Good Choice."

We stayed at the hotel for four nights and had to change rooms twice as we had problems with the tv reception, bathroom and air conditioning. Not a great start to our European holiday.

The three rooms we stayed in during our stay were all quite different in size and layout. Our first room was small and the bathroom layout was strange - the bidet was right in front of the shower, making it very hard to get into the shower. Our third and final room was a lot more spacious and the bathroom was much better.

When we finally got a good room on the third night, we started to enjoy our stay more. The hotel's decor is quite lovely and unique. There was free wi-fi in the lobby, and also one computer available for guests to use.

There is a metro station about 10 minutes away, but we found that the buses were more convenient. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel with buses that go to Termini, the Colosseum, and St Peter's Square. The concierge even drew the bus routes on our map, which was very helpful.

The breakfast was quite good even though the selection was limited. Their cappuccino was very good.
