Despite paying a portion up front, they did not honour our reservation. Instead, they booked us a room at an "alternative" hotel, which was in a poor location, lower quality, without breakfast and with shared washrooms.

The second hotel had prices online for 25 euro a night less than we paid at Everest2. They pocketed the difference.

It was Easter weekend, and we had little time or choice in hotels. We had a great trip regardless.

Expect one problem after another at this hotel. We arrived to the command, pay in full, in CASH, now please! On top of this, the room had no key! Not a problem apparently - some Italians don't seem to worry about security.

Fair enough, the room was clean, and had an en-suite, but the camp-bed like beds, and paper thing walls didn't help things any. I was so outraged at the nonchalance of the manager and owner, that I got out of there as quickly as I good, and found another lovely hotel to enjoy the rest of my stay in.

Hotel is centrally located near Termini station, quit and clean rooms.
We had to pay cash, although first night was paid with VISA already, and then they tried to let us pay more ( 4).No real breakfast however the staff offered us coffee. Second night we were moved because a group had arrived so they wanted us to put in a quiter area. Everything was moved and put on the same place but just in a different room. Last day we left our bags and picked them up at 15.00 but they wanted us to pay.
Free storage is only `till 14.00. We didn`t pay and just left.The hotel is not worse than many other but also not better...

Booked a reservation here through Italian hotel website - it had a charming photo of a courtyard. Well that courtyard, which is to an office building and has nothing to do with the hotel, is the only charming thing. Desk person/manager was quite rude, and actually very frightening. He demanded cash for entire stay, even though website stated we could pay by credit card. Website also stated non-smoking rooms, and parking for cars (we had a rental with us). There was no parking, and the room reeked of smoke. There was no breakfast (I believe this very frightening looking manager went somewhere to get a box of donuts or something if necessary). We told him we had to leave to go get more cash to pay for the bill and, when he went to the restroom, we ran as fast as we could out of there with our luggage! We were assisted by a very nice, courteous man at the Hotel Brittania (which I would recommend highly) in finding alternate accomodations. It was supposed to be a 3 star hotel. The gentleman at the Brittania told us The Everest is frequently used by prostitutes on an hourly basis, and we were very wise to run away! Beware! Do not go near this strange, horrible place!
