We've stayed at Hotel Rex on June 10, 11 and 12, as part of our honeymoon trip to Italy. We loved the hotel, the room, the location, everything. Rooms are decent size, clean, there's a nice writing desk as well, new furniture, and the bed is very comfortable. Nice bathroom, with an interesting shower cabin (it's true that the towel rack was kinda dusty, but we just didn't keep our towels on it).
We loved the library, it's beautifully decorated and very romantic. There's a lot of detail attention in the lobby as well. Just love a hotel with personality!
Hotel staff was just great, every single one of them; always with a smile, always ready to help you in every possible way.
Location couldn't be better. Walking distance to all the attractions, close to Termini Station, on a quiet street though. We walked up and down Via Cavour several times, day and night, and felt really safe. A lot of good restaurants around the hotel. Didn't have breakfast in the hotel, so couldn't tell you anything about it.
Couldn't get a better deal. Would stay again for sure.

I like the location fairly near train station. Breakfast is OK but not overwhelming. Expresso and service is excellent. Near transportation hubs and several resturants. Hotel service is responsive and accomodating.

We arrived at night time, The reception was very friendly and helpful. The staffs are very helpful and can fullfill your simple request speedily. Breakfast was great. I like the fresh fruit and hot dish like scrmble egg and bacon. This hotel was the only hotel that can provide English TV in our trip. There were a lot of channels you can choose.

Just one drawback, our room was very very small (not like those we see in website). Just like or may be it's just a single room for double use. We asked the receptionist to reconfirm whether the room was wrongly allocated. She reconfirm that it's correct because of low room rate (around 100 euro), that's the room we can get with this room rate. So be aware of this if you book this hotel with similar rate. Though the room was small, the bed was comfortable and the hotle was very quite. We got good sleep there.

We paid $412.15 Canadian for 2 nights, no breakfast. A continental breakfast was available for 10,00 per person but with many less expensive options close by (Autogrill in Roma Termini) we didn't think the breakfast was worth the cost. The bedding was very nice, loved the diffuser reeds, nice size room and bathroom, Our main complaint was how dirty the towel rack was. We are always willing to reuse towels for conservation purposes but we refused to spread anything over this towel rack and our request to both the housekeeper and the front desk went unheeded. The walls are quite thin which allowed us to hear conversation but not content from the next room. I thought inconsiderate guests slamming doors would be an issue but we were so tired after all the walking we did (transit strike) we could have slept through an earthquake. Our 7 am wake-up call came at 7:15. but fortunately we were awake already. Thin walls, small shower stall, phone in awkward spot in the bathroom and the dirty towel rack were more than compensated for by the great location. While the day front desk staff were very friendly they were not very knowledgeable about anything other than the "major" attractions.
