I chose this hotel for its location and its suitability to my grandmother who was coming with me to Rome. I was not disappointed. This hotel delivered on everything it promised. It was located in close proximity to everything, on a street that boasts a wide variety of restaurants, shops and bars.
We ate in the restaurant as being older my gran wasn't in to Italian food, and the standard was topnotch, with the waiter being very helpful and courteous.
Some people have reviewed the hotel bar and lobby as old, needing an update, but we loved its old world interior. The bar staff wore white tuxedo jackets, and this, with the piano playing classical and contempory tunes, menat that it was easy to imagine a time when the hotel was host to artists and politicans.
The breakfast is self service which got a bit messy when it was busy, but there was a great choice. The rooms were clean and the comfortable, with a large bathroom. Just be advised that rooms to the front expose you to traffic noise, and I will request a room to the back the next time I visit.
