“Great location - old world charm”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

My husband and i stayed at this hotel for 5 nights in Rome and the hotel was a great stay for us.Excellent location, good breakfast and a comfortable stay. We stayed in a superior room and i must say the room was large, airy with a separate closet area and a large clean bathroom. I was a bit apprehensive about staying at this hotel before we went as there were quite a few negative reviews however was pleasantly surprised - it was a large good clean hotel with a lovely old world charm. Wooden staircases, large paintings and beautiful garden area. The room we stayed in was gorgeous with a beautiful chandelier and lots of space to move around with an old world charm to it.The biggest plus of this hotel is the location - just 2 minutes away from the train station and a Metro and walking distance from many of the tourist spots like the Trevi fountain etc. Would highly recommend .

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the higher floors facing the garden.

The hotel is well located, but far from being as good as 5-10 years ago, since it got really old. The air conditioner and heater didn't work very well and we (as other 2 couples that were with us) had to sleep with the windows partially opened. The carpet smelled weird and the bathroom is old and not practical at all. The breakfest is good and the repception is ok (exception to a luggage helper that I don't recall the name who is great). I strongly recommend trying a differente one. This is not worth.

Hotel is located close to man railway station on Via Nazionale. If you have a room at front of hotel the noise from the road will be an issue. Public areas are very nice, large ceilings, lovely paintings etc. However, bedrooms are not at the same standard. My room had numerous issues. Despite having a twin room i had limited space. The desk, wardrobe, mini bar were set up in the hallway as bedroom was so small. One light was broken in the bathroom and i faced issues trying to get hot water all week. The window was very small and bed was far too hard. However, the room was at the back of the hotel so generally was quiet. Be aware, walls a very thin and you can easily hear all noises from neighbouring rooms and above rooms. Many doors are ill-fitting so does not help to keep internal noise down. Hotel wi-fi is also unreliable, with signal dropping at random for no reason. Hotel is well located and all Romes main attractions can be reached by walking very easily or by use of the nearby Metro.

We booked a triple room. It turns out to be a big room for 2 and another adjoined smaller single room. This is great! High ceiling. Crystal chandelier. Just grand (the wall painting is a bit old though.) Location is right in the middle of the city. Close to the central train station and metro.

Service is not the best. I didn't have any problem. However, there was a customer quarreling at the front desk when I checked in. Internet doesn't work in the room. Super bummer! Door lock didn't function properly (I needed to run downstair to get key changed. Oh, I needed to explain, if not quarrel, about what was wrong.) The gym is small. Actually, the equipments are not useable!

All in all, this hotel is still a very good choice for Rome. Pricing for the room was very, very good!

I spent 4 nights here with my hunsband. We loved this hotel, especially the breakfast. We haven't had such a good breakfast later in our trip in Milan, Venice and Florance. To Chinese, hot dishes are so important to us.
The room is big with big bathroom. Wifi also good.
Near to the railway station and the subway station.

The Quirinale Hotel was recommended by our travel agent due to her affiliation with Delta vacation packages. The room was standard by European sizes and served the purpose of holding our luggage, sleeping and showering. The bathroom was by far the grossest part of the room - ANTS everywhere! Crawling up the sink in the shower and all over the floor. Every day I would be killing multiple ants. It definitely was not a good way to start out our honeymoon. The hotel was located conveinently for what we wanted to see in Rome so I have no complaints about that but I would definitely look elsewhere when going to Rome.

After travelling to Rome a numerous times I've gotten used to that 4-star hotels in the city centre are not really up to the 4-star standards so I usually book hotels a bit outside the centro storico. Due to an early flight back I chose a hotel closer to Termini and the Quirinale was a nice surprise. It's located on Via Nazionale. Bus stops are just outside the building, metro Republicca 100 m away. Nice breakfast (scrambled eggs, italian bacon, toast, jam, fruit, cold cuts, cheese, cakes etc.) and a nice outdoor area. The bellhop takes you luggage upstairs and gives you all the information needed. The baroque style has been kept well throughout the hotel. Room & bath was nice and clean, I was lucky to get a room on the top floor facing an inner courtyard. The only things I would like to be updated is the shower stall; small. The door from the hallway has a crack between itself & the floor - others passing by can be disturbing late at night. Easy check-out at 4:30 am.
