At first we were concerned about this hotel because the room was quite small and the bathroom even smaller. The view was of a courtyard & all the other windows of rooms around us which wasn't really appealing. The bed was very comfortable which made up for a lot after some of the beds we've slept on in Europe. A big let down was that there was renovations being done right outside our window every morning starting about 8am but this is only a temporary problem which i'm sure won't go for long.
After the first night we started to realise the value of this hotel as it had free internet in the lobby, it was very well located in a safe area of Rome about 2 minutes drive from the Termini and 15 minutes from the spanish stairs. All other attractions were within about 30 - 45 minutes walk from the hotel which isn't really that long when you've got such good scenery along the way. If you prefer not to walk you could catch a bus pretty much outside the hotel to anywhere you needed to go or cabs were extremely handy around the area.
Most of the staff were very pleasant and what made our stay at this hotel worthwhile. We enjoyed our chats with the barman (Stefano) who was funny, helpful and very generous with snacks while you drank at the bar. Anna, Simona and Fabio were great in the restaurant and made you feel very comfortable at dinner. If your italian isn't up to scratch they were able to speak sufficient English to understand and help you with your dinner selection and tourist questions.
Other guests we met at the hotel have been staying there for up to 5 years which we thought was a good sign of great hospitality and service by the hotel of a long period of time.
