At first we were concerned about this hotel because the room was quite small and the bathroom even smaller. The view was of a courtyard & all the other windows of rooms around us which wasn't really appealing. The bed was very comfortable which made up for a lot after some of the beds we've slept on in Europe. A big let down was that there was renovations being done right outside our window every morning starting about 8am but this is only a temporary problem which i'm sure won't go for long.

After the first night we started to realise the value of this hotel as it had free internet in the lobby, it was very well located in a safe area of Rome about 2 minutes drive from the Termini and 15 minutes from the spanish stairs. All other attractions were within about 30 - 45 minutes walk from the hotel which isn't really that long when you've got such good scenery along the way. If you prefer not to walk you could catch a bus pretty much outside the hotel to anywhere you needed to go or cabs were extremely handy around the area.
Most of the staff were very pleasant and what made our stay at this hotel worthwhile. We enjoyed our chats with the barman (Stefano) who was funny, helpful and very generous with snacks while you drank at the bar. Anna, Simona and Fabio were great in the restaurant and made you feel very comfortable at dinner. If your italian isn't up to scratch they were able to speak sufficient English to understand and help you with your dinner selection and tourist questions.
Other guests we met at the hotel have been staying there for up to 5 years which we thought was a good sign of great hospitality and service by the hotel of a long period of time.

Our room was miniscule and air conditioning was useless. The bathroom was an obticle course with the smallest shower area we encountered in Europe. I could just get through the door. Breakfast was very ordinary and made worse by the unpleasantness of the woman in charge serving coffee. She was extremely rude and chewed gum. The bar staff and reception on the other hand were most pleasant. The hotel is ideally situated..

My wife and I wanted a hotel with friendly staff that was within walking distance to as many of the sights as possible. The staff was very helpful and friendly and exceeded expectations. Our room was typical for Europe (small) but it was very clean and had a private bathroom. Of the three hotels we stayed in while in Italy this was the only one that provided new bathroom supplies on a daily basis, provided slippers, did the best job cleaning the room and had the best continental breakfast. If you're looking to stay within walking distance to most of the sites, this place is great IF you're accustomed to walking decent distances (we live in New York City and we walk everywhere, so we have no problem walking 30-45 minutes to get somewhere). You can walk to the Spanish Steps in about 15 minutes, Vatican in 45 and Colloseum in about 40. If you're not a walker, this hotel may not be the best for you unless you're planning to take taxis or public transportation to most places (the nearest Metro stop is about a 10-15 minute walk).

Situated in a superb position for sightseeing. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms maybe a little on the small side, but beautifully clean. Would definately stay at this hotel again.

Hotel was very nice in good location, only 15 mins walk to Spanish Steps. Hotel provides an excellent map which assists greatly. Rooms a little small but very clean and well presented as were the staff. There are two English speaking channels only on the TV. If you get the train from the airport to Termini, please just then get the metro to Bernini, it takes less than five minutes and costs 1 euro. We got in a taxi and were told the price would be 'on the metre'. Two men were in the taxi and when we got to the hotel, one bundled my partner out of the car with our luggage whilst I was left to pay. The driver then locked me in the car and my partner out of it and charged us 45 euros. Was a bit shocked and shook up especially when reception said trip should have cost no more than 10 euro!! Rome is definately worth seeing but beware if you're short of money, the average cost of a can of coke is 4 euro's and a coffee 6 euro's. Also, if you are going to the Collus, get your tickets from Palitino Hill to aviod the q!!
