We stayed at the hotel oxford during the rome section ofour european trip. We rented one of the hotel's apartments which is located approx. 100 - 200m away from the actual hotel.

The service at the hotel was absolutely fantastic. The hotel provides wireless internet access as well as a desktop/stand-alone computer and printer that can be used for a small charge (eg - 3 euro for 30mins). The hotel's restaurant is no less than excellent and has great service and food with reasonable prices.

The hotel, as well as offering hotel rooms, also offers some private apartments to rent. Our group of 6 consisting of 3 adults and 3 children - 15, 13, 12 stayed in a three room apartment. Each room had a private bathroom and comfortable beds.

The apartment building is located only roughly 100 - 200m away from the hotel oxford and is quite secure. It has an elevator and there are a few choices of apartments for hire. Being only a short distance from the hotel, it is close to the hotels internet access, restaurant/bar etc.

It is located in the central areas of Rome and is only approx. 10 - 15mins from repubblica/termini stations. Two supermarkets are close by as well as a laundrymat and the main roman street of Via Veneto with its many restaurants and boutiques.

Over all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Rome at the hotel oxford and would return and recommend it.

On our annual weekend away, we chose to go to Rome this year. As a travel agent, I have booked the Oxford hotel many time for clients. We found it a great little hotel. The walk to attractions was not a problem - after all - how else do you see a city, but it was so quiet at night - a real bonus when you return after a hard day's sightseeing. Breakfast adequate, rooms comfortable.
Would certainly return there, as would my friends. Plenty of restaurants round about, if you did not want to use the hotel restaurant, which we did on the first night, but the second night we tried one just round the corner.

We stayed (two couples) at the Oxford for four nights in August. We found our room clean as was the whole hotel. The staff very friendly and most helpful with maps and directions.

Breakfast was a cold buffet and again we had no complaints.

Where the hotel is situated, it is a walk to the centre of rome, but it is a very enjoyable stroll. The hotel is on a very very clean road, and in a nice area and not stuck up some alley as has been suggested.

There are buses close by, and if you ask at reception there is a very nice resturaunt further up the street on the left. (Its the third one!).

This was our first visit to Rome and we will be going back and will use the Oxford again, do use their bar, as all staff are friendly and welcomed four scots keeping them busy - well done Daniel.

The Oxford is a small, but friendly hotel. All the staff were very helpful and polite. The hotel looked as though it had only recently been refurbished. The hotel is small, consequently the bedrooms are on the smaller side but clean and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast is cold but varied and filling; a hot breakfast is available at extra cost. The bathroom was clean and prestine, but there was no bath; just a shower cubicle. The maid service was excellent. We had minor problems with the room card keys but they were quickly fixed. The hotel provided complimentary maps of Rome which were invaluable for sightseeing.

The hotel is fairly centrally located but not really within walking distance of any of the major attractions. The nearest attraction is the Spanish Steps which is about half an hour walk. The nearest metro station is a 15 minute walk, but there are frequent buses from the nearest bus stop which is only five minutes away. The buses take between 15 and 30 minutes to centre of Rome. I would have preferred to have stayed at a hotel closer to the historic part of the city.

Overall, a very good hotel which I am more than happy to recommend to any tourist.

I recently had the pleasure to spend 3 nights at the Hotel Oxford during a business trip to Rome. my local travel agent strongly recommended this property, as she had stayed there herself, and i am glad i took her advice. The room was clean, spacious, with all the amenities i could ask for. it looked like it had been recently renovated, and i was glad to find a high-speed internet connection in my room, a luxury that i didnt find in many other hotels in Rome. The staff was very polite and friendly, making my stay very enjoyable, and the restaurant was a pleasant surprise.

Above all, the hotel was great value for money, and i truly recommend it to everyone travelling to the "Eternal City"...
