I was expecting a small room in Rome, but was surprised by how tiny the rooms actually were! I figured we would splurge in Rome since we were only spending a few days - what a mistake!
When we arrived, we were in a room near the downstairs shop and it was rediculous to hear the music from the shop blaring in our room.
I am a petite woman, and still found it difficult to manuever in the small bathrooms.
One thing was good - the blinds on the windows completely black out all light, however, this discovery came to us in a not-so-wonderful way when we were awakened by the sound of voices which sounded as if someone was having a conversation right next to our bed! It was jarring and scary. Once I realized the sound was coming through the wall, and that it was morning I was only a little bothered by the paper thin walls.
I agree that the hotel was not all it appeared to be from it's website, but that is my fault, I suppose.
Breakfast was horrible and waiting in the hall for one of the three tables to become available was not something we wanted to do so we always ended up getting coffee at a nearby shop and starting our day.
Obviously I will never be back and wanted to help guide other travelers to look elsewhere - unless you don't mind paying a lot of money for a bad hotel.
