This hotel was decent. The rooms were comfortable, clean and nice. A lot of the guide books we read recommended against staying near the Rome train station, but this actually worked to our advantage. Rome was our last stop on our trip, so by the time we reached here, we had collected extra bags of souvenirs, so it was nice to walk just two blocks from the station to our hotel. We also had an early morning flight out of FCO airport, and being near the train station was key to catch the 3:45 a.m. Cotral bus to the airport. Catching the bus was free - the bus driver didn't end up charging us the 7 euro per person rate (versus paying a taxi 50 euros at that hour since no other form of transportation is open). Being near the station was great – this is the only place where both lines on the metro stop. A lot of the public buses also stop at the train station as well, making it a little easier to get around the city.
The hotel room had a television and fairly large closets to store things. Breakfast was sufficient – coffee and tea with a croissant and crackers. The hotel allows guests to use the internet for free, up to 30 minutes a day. The hot water did go out for a bit, but the hotel resolved it in about 30 minutes.
