The location of this hotel is the best part--we liked that it was close to the termini station. This was convenient when we were coming in from the airport as well as during our stay. Rome has an A and B line and the termini station is at the crossroads so you can basically go any way the underground goes without having to transfer. We didn't feel unsafe at all (we accidently missed the last metro car one night and had to walk all teh way back and felt way safer here than we would in our native San Francisco).
The room was definitely small (smaller than it appears on the website) but my husband and I didn't spend much time in the room anyway. It was a bit noisy but we got used to it by our second or third night.
The staff was very friendly and although the breakfast was minimal, they provided great service while you ate. They were very welcoming when we arrived and very accommodating with any requests. We stayed here at teh beginning and end of our trip. At the end, they had overbooked the hotel so they sent us across the street to another nicer hotel (Hotel Aphrodite?). While it was slightly inconvenient to have to move, the staff at both hotels made it as easy as possible.
My biggest concern when staying at a hotel is cleanliness and this hotel was definitely clean.
