Not too far a walk from the Termini which was a nice plus for the hotel. Checkin was very easy and the people were friendly.

A couple of problems were that hotel does not have a lift. This to us wasnt to much of a problem however if you have a room in the 200s expect to go up 2 flights of steps (the 2nd set is harder) with your luggage.

the rooms were nice, ours had air condictioning which would be nice in the summer. The bathroom was small however no problm with that. The shower was very small. I had no problem however my other half who is bigger strugled a bit with the shower so if your of the larger size and like showevers if all the rooms are the same be aware of this.

The location of the hotel was very nice though and very easy to go too and from the Termini and metro which for us are a real plus vs the lift and shower issues.

They also let us keep our luggage in a room after checkout.

Rome hotels tend to be quite expensive, so planning a trip may depend on your budget. For €160 a nite, we expected a little more comfort, but then again, we did get quite a good location. The hotel is a short 5 mins walk from Termini, although the first night you may be advised to get a taxi even from Termini (€5), as getting lost around there is easy and could be dangerous! However, this hotel has no lift, and even a trip with luggage up those stairs to the second floor can be difficult. Its quite basic, and although the room we had was not small, the breakfast was. Reception was always very helpful though, and the tour buses stopped not far from there, so as they say, location is everything.
There's nicer hotels, but around this location maybe this was as good as it gets.

Good location - just a five minute walk from the Termini train station and the Metro.

The Colosseum/Forum/Palatine Hill is just fifteen minutes walk away and the Vatican is only forty five minutes walk away.

There are plenty of resturants near to the hotel, with a lovely ice cream shop next door and Internet cafe also next door.

I was in the 'new rooms' which are a couple of doors away from the main hotel. You have four keys to access the room - so you feel secure but sometimes you feel like a jailer unlocking all those doors!

The room was small but clean. The TV offers just the usual Italian language stations - no satellite channels available. There wasn't a fridge in my room nor tea making facilities - which I missed.

The room had a small balcony - but the noise (talking rather than
'partying') of the people below meant I didn't really use it.

The shower cubicle is small but serviceable.

My bed squeaked - which drove me mad, especially as I was struggling to sleep in the heat and the aircon wasn't on - there was a aircon
'machine' but no remote to control - but It didn't matter to me as I preferred the breeze through the window.

Overall, I would recommend this place - It is located conviententally
for all the tourist sites and facilities, and it was good value for money.

First the minuses...The breakfast could be better, no fresh fruit, no cuts of meat and no eggs. It also does not have a lift which could be a problem if you have a room on the upper floors.

And the pluses...it is very reasonable, clean, airconditioned and well maintained. And the location is fantastic - almost next to the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore and 5 minutes away from the central station - Termini. As a bonus, we had very nice room on the 4th floor with a balcony.

I would not hesitate to recommend it. Expect good value for your money and you will not be disappointed.
