We recently stayed at Hotel Delle Muse. We found the staff extremely helpful. It is a bit out of the way of central Rome but with buses, metro and taxis it was still relatively convenient. If you want to be right in the heart of all the main tourist attractions this is not the place, however, we felt very well cared for here and the staff always took time with us helping us with directions and places to visit. I had caught a bad cold while there and the wonderful woman at the desk wrote out for me in italian what I would need from the pharmacia which was right across the street. The pharmacist spoke little English but he wrote out instructions for me in Italian which the woman then interpreted for me. These little extras can go a long way when travelling.
We felt this type of service and price of the hotel (in these times of of the dollar doing so poorly relative to the euro) to have offset the location of the Hotel. Also it is located in a wonderful residential area where you can have a peaceful night's sleep. Three computers are in the hotel lobby and are available 24/7. One was always available when I wanted to use one. Use of internet is free which was great for keeping in touch with family.

The staff were beyond helpful in their desire to create an atmosphere that was so friendly. After 8 nites we departed as friends. The room was spacious and easily accomodated my family of four. All other rooms in my travels throughout Italy required the purchase of two rooms.
The restaurant was wonderful for dinner. The breakfast facility had a fabulous variety of foods. One morning we were too late for breakfast, but the staff opened the room just for us.
Long before we arrived at this hotel, the owner via the internet was so helpful in making recommendations for places to visit in rome. This is a family run hotel, and it runs with a real desire to make the guest feel like family.
There is a computer in every room with free internet access. I never heard of this in all my travels. I can not imagine coming back to Rome and staying at anyother hotel...

This hotel would be a fine place to stay, if it were only in the center of Rome. Some reviewers seem not to have minded the combination bus and train that it takes to get into Rome by public transportation - our party of 4 found this tedious. We ended up taking taxis to and from the city center each time we went there, which added perhaps $10-$15 each way. The hotel itself was lovely, the staff was helpful, the birds sang beautifully outside our window each day. About a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel was Taverna Rossini (54 Viale G. Rossini, tel. 0684242903, [--]), a truly excellent local restaurant where we returned again and again.

This charming hotel has the most welcoming and helpful staff of any we dealt with in our Italy travels. My sisters and I were traveling on our own and felt very well looked after during our stay here. True, it is located in an out-of-the-way section of Rome, north of Borghese Park, but at the end of a busy, crowded day in Rome this hotel was blissfully clean, quiet and peaceful. The breakfast buffet was extensive, with plenty of protein choices, fuits and pastries, and the restaurant open for lunch & dinner was excellent, also. The shower was a little inconsistent (pressure up & down), but we considered this to be a minor inconvenience when compared to the overall quality of our stay. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and unreservedly recommend it to any travelers looking for good quality and a good value.
