Mokarabia seemed like the perfect place for an apperitivo. We stopped by around 18.30 before going out for dinner.
The staff were unfriendly but civil. I can speak some italian so ordered our drinks, we weren't eating just then. The buffet looked alright. However at the table next to us another waiter was hassling & persuading 3 english tourists into ordering food, so much so that after 15mins they just got up and left. The chairs were also unreliable, one broke at the table behind us when a young girl sat down. This didn't exactly help the atmosphere.
Not having noticed the price beforehand I was shocked at what we got for the price we paid. Three average aperol spritz and a bowl of unappealing patatine/crisps cost us €22.
They weren't even served in nice glasses but the short glass tumblers I usually associate with happy hour drinks.
Overall an entirely unsatisfactory waste of our time and money. Not recommended to anybody. The only good thing is that it is located around the corner from the best pizzeria "da Giggetto"!
