Our first view of the hotel from the outside was less than favourable but once we were inside that changed completely. Marble steps up to a lift that took us to a small yet spacious reception, then up via a second lift to our room which though smallish in size was excellent. As has been previously reported there is no tea/coffee making facility in the room but is available on request. There is a mini bar with drinks at reasonable prices, not the normal hotel rip off prices. The bed was very comfotable and the bathroom, though again small, was modern and clean with a pressure shower that was unbeivably good - a mini hand held shower and a giant fixed shower head. Our room faced the main road and although it was noisy at times it didn't disturb us. There was an electronic shutter that helped cut out noise at night and also left the room in complete darkness, keeping out the early morning light until we were ready to start the new day. We found the staff, especially Monica, very friendly and helpful and the only down side is tha very small lift that takes a maximum of 3 people to their rooms and to the 8th floor restaurant which has a great room across Rome. And breakfast there was very good indeed!
