Four of us (two rooms) stayed here for six nights in Oct. 2005. Perfect location for visiting Rome, easy 2 min walk to subway (Cavour). This hotel is on a quiet, narrow street and if you ask for a quiet (tranquilo) room (105 or 206) they will give you a room without a view, but a window into a courtyard so there is no street noise at all. The rooms, bathrooms, and elevator are very small, especially the shower in room 206. If you are obese don't even think about this room. Linens were pressed (even the bidet towels) and our room was very clean the whole time. Best breakfast we had anywhere in Italy with fresh melon, proscuitto, ham, salami, eggs, bacon, fruit salad, three types of cereal, bread for toast, rolls, and croissants. Staff spoke enough English for us to communicate. AC worked and was quiet. Many dining options within an easy stroll, and we really liked Crickets and Ants (don't know the name in Italian) about ten steps away from the hotel. Highly recommend their pumpkin ravioli if you are there during the autumn.

I stayed for just a couple of nights, on a business trip. The location is convenient, but the rooms are very small - in the case of the first one I was ioffered, unacceptably so. More recently I stayed at the Quirinale, which was MUCH better.
