Clean rooms, fine staff and a very good location for seeing the city. We liked it very much.

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel,it was walking distance to most attractions. Basic rooms but clean and well looked after by staff. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was better than expected. At night after a long day site seeing we were able to sit in the garden area drinking while the children were tucked up in bed.
If I was to visit Rome again I would consider staying in this hotel again.

Trying to find the hotel was hard people kept sending us to another hotel with similar name, we had in total 6 rooms all were good except the single one, small. My room had a little yard outside which is good for smokers(room 302). Breakfast was simple but lots of places to eat nearby. Good value for money and staff very friendly, would definately recommend and return.

We booked our room over telephone. When we arrived, the desk clerk took our passports and a credit card. We were shown to our room. We stayed about 15 minutes. It was noisy, dingy, and had a bad smell coming from a vent. We decided not to stay, but the manager would not refund our money; he said we had "used" the room because we admitted to sitting in chairs! Incredible. We filed a complaint with the nearest TI office. They were shocked at the rates and at our treatment. The Tirreno manager said we had to come back later and talk to his superior. We made a total of three trips back before we gave up on getting a refund. Luckily, we found a hotel not far away with a nice room. My sister and brother in law were staying at the Tirreno at the same time. Their room was much nicer though not great. They had booked it with AAA. Perhaps there are "good" and "bad" rooms at this hotel. At any rate, we feel our money should have been cheerfully refunded. Upon returning home, we were able to get a refund from the credit card company ,but a lot of time and energy were spent in trying to rectify a bad situation.
