After staying in 2 hotels near the Colliseum, which were less than what we had expected, we checked into the Genova and immediately were relieved. The hotel is situated near the Termini Station which was terrific for us as we travelled around the city each day by metro and left by train to the airport.

The hotel has had a major renovation so everything is new, modern and fresh. The staff were friendly and helpful and when we arrived in our room, there was one bed, not two as we had requested, so they arranged for us to go to another room, which was large, spacious and airy.

The rooms are large, with high celings, wooden floors and very comfortable. The bathroom was also large, with big windows to allow light and fresh air. Bedroom and bathroom had shutters that completely blocked all light for sleep.

We looked forward to breakfast each morning as the range and quality was good.

This hotel is situated near the Roma Termini Railway station, so its a good location if you need to take the train in the morning. The hotel is situated on a very busy street, so unless you get a room at the back of the hotel or on a high floor, you will be disturbed by the traffic all through the night.
The hotel is definitely NOT cosy and gives a sterile and cold impression. Also, the man at the front desk did not experience his best day. The room we got was clean and the bed was OK but it was very dark. Additionally, there was a strange odor of perfume in the room.
All in all, we will not return to this hotel and one night was enough.

great syay given short notice, just turned up after poor experience at the 'Daphne' B&B. Genova good value for money, helpful staff no signs of construction as reviewed! clean contempory hotel, would definatley stay there again.
