My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Genova. The hotel is on Via Cavour, which is a busy and well traveled street, so it can be a bit noisy at times. However, being close to the train station and a large number of restaurants, it's a pretty nice location.

We found the people at the hotel to be helpful, but a bit cold at times. They gave us some nice recommendations, but weren't as willing to spend time explaining the area or give advice on where to go as other European hotels that we have stayed at. We found it quite odd that we were required to leave the key to our room at the front desk and ask for it every time when we came back in. We thought this could be a bit of a security problem because they didn't require ID or any information to request the key for a specific room.

The air conditioning wasn't very powerful in our room -- it got quite hot and leaving the window open wasn't a great option because of the noise.

The rooms were small, but nice. The breakfast was great and the overall appearance of the hotel was great.

The location is central, a 5 min walk from the roma termini, very easy to locate, and the hotel was nice and clean.
However the room was quiet small and very noisy specially at night, could clearly hear a metro train rumble by every half an hour or so.
the breakfast was nice too.
Overall the hotel was good value for money.

I recently spent three nights at the Genova as part of a group of 66 from Pwllheli ,Wales to support Wales in our quest for the Six Nations Rugby champioship.The location was ideal.Central for all the sights and a myriad choice of restaurant and bars within walking distance.We arrived earlier than expected but received a courteous and helpful welcome from all the staff.Rooms were released ealry and all queries answered graciously by the patient reception staff.The rooms were comfortable and clean and the breakfast filled the spot.I would be happy to return.
NB.Wales just about won the match.

The location of Genova is one of the best cause is exactly next to stazione termini(6min by foot)and there u can take bus or metro for the whole rome.Rooms are quite good but nothing so impressive.I suggest to choose one from4th or 5th floor cause metro stops after midnight so the noise from it ,will be a problem for sleeping DURING THE DAY.Bathroom and general the room was clean and lady who had the responsibility of cleaning was more than good.Breakfast have much of dry food(rusks,cornflakes,honey or jam in small plastic,biscuit)and less of fresh things such as cheese or italian ham,eggs,juice,milk,cakes etc. Restaurrunt only for breakfast not dinner or lunch.
Best characteristic of genova is the place of it.U can go to piazza republica-vittorio emmanuele monument-santa maria magiore by foot.


Of course value for money will be reasonable but could be better in future this hotel.
