Wonderful hotel. Very clean, superb breakfast with everything you wanted. Staff very friendly. Good location not far from the station. We enjoy walking and could get to everywhere we wanted, just needed comfy shoes! Even got a train to the Vatican and walked back the the hotel from there. Great restaurant around the corner, 'something of Napoli'.
Some reviews said the area could be a little dodgy after dark. We live on the outskirts of London and did not feel at all threatened walking back from our evening meal at about 11pm each evening. Perhaps we would have if we were from a sleepy little village somewhere.
Will certainly go back.

This hotel is situated near the Roma Termini Railway station, so its a good location if you need to take the train in the morning. The hotel is situated on a very busy street, so unless you get a room at the back of the hotel or on a high floor, you will be disturbed by the traffic all through the night.
The hotel is definitely NOT cosy and gives a sterile and cold impression. Also, the man at the front desk did not experience his best day. The room we got was clean and the bed was OK but it was very dark. Additionally, there was a strange odor of perfume in the room.
All in all, we will not return to this hotel and one night was enough.

The location is great - one can actually see the hotel from the intersection outside of the Termini.

I stayed 4 nights in total - 2 nights on a Friday and Saturday and 2 nights at the end of the following week on Thursday and Friday. The room for the first 2 nights was unexpectedly spacious with high ceilings. Not what I expect for a Europe hotel. The bed was very big. The bathroom was lush with marble floors.

The room for the last 2 nights were smaller than the first one despite at a more expensive rate. The bed was the same size as the bigger room.

Overall, this is a modern hotel at a very good price. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the location is excellent.

I look for a hotel near Termini station because it is pretty central and, more importantly, because taking a bus or subway from Termini, you can get to anywhere in the city rapidly e.g. bus direct to St. Peter's or metro to Colosseum. I got what I thought was a good deal in Hotel Genova ($150 a night) though it was August of course. My room was pleasant and comfortable with good AC and was reasonable spacious. Bed was a little firm but OK. The bathroom was spacious and beautifully decorated with marble tiling. The shower, in contrast, was a triangular corner design and was really too tight (and I'm not big). I could see Americanus Magnus having some considerable difficulty manouvering in it. Linen face towels were provided. The breakfast was very modest, consisting largely of standardised and packaged items, machine coffee etc. There are some nice restaurants particularly on the Via Principe Amadeo which cuts across the Via Cavour and shops in the Termini station stay open late. On Sundays or Church holidays, Latin Mass with Gregorian Chant in nearby Sancta Maria Maggiore is an elevating experience.

We stayed for five nights between May and June 2008. The Hotel is renovated and looks nice.
The welcome at the reception was poor to fair, we arrived at 8:30 a.m. and were told that the room was not ready and we should come back at 10 or 11 a.m. that was not so nice.

The room was OK big bed and a smaller one. The room was clean but don't look under the bed. The sheets were clean.

The bathroom has no bathtub but it's ok. The AC was working nice.

the location is very good a 4 minutes walk to Santa Maria Maggiore, 4 minutes to Roma Termini were you can take the bus or train anywhere. and 6 minutes walk to Piazza del Republica.

Starting midnight you might encounter some crak junkies in the back streets around the hotel, but we never had a security problem.

Overall it was not bad. Just don'r expect a nice welcome and don't be too picky concerning cleaning and dusting and everything will be fine.
